Property code: OC-URCHPE

Surrounded by beautiful, far-reaching countryside views, this four-bedroom property keeps a contemporary yet cosy aesthetic featuring nods to the coast. A home from home perfect for larger families and groups. With its historic 14th-century church and old granite cottages, Little Petherick, less than 0.5 miles away, is a beautiful countryside village nestled in the wooded valley of Little Petherick Creek. Following a disused railway line once used by London and South West Railway, cycle or stroll along The Camel Trail (5 miles) an 18-mile long trail following the Camel Estuary from Padstow to Wadebridge before joining the wooded Camel Valley to Bodmin. Explore the fishing village of Padstow, synonymous with Rick Stein, and its historic harbour (3.5 miles) with plenty of excellent seaside restaurants, or sail the River Camel on a pedestrian ferry to the quaint town of Rock, renowned for its fabulous sandy beach.

The property offers a spacious open-plan living, dining and kitchen area, decorated in a calm neutral palette flooded with natural light from the bi-fold patio doors. Cleverly partitioned away from the kitchen by two large comfy sofas you’ll find the light and bright living area, featuring a living flame effect fire. A large dining table occupies a prime spot behind the living space. Back through the ground floor, you’ll find a zip and link twin bedroom with plenty of storage space, featuring an en-suite bathroom with a shower over the bath, as well as a handy separate WC. Upstairs, a master king-size bedroom benefits from French doors out to a beautiful balcony to admire the rolling countryside views, as well as an en-suite bathroom with a shower cubicle. Opposite, a zip and link twin bedroom benefits from another gorgeous balcony with even more countryside views. There is also a family bathroom on this level, complete with a bath and separate shower cubicle. The second floor comprises a characterful twin bedroom underneath the eaves featuring two windows offering views of the valley.

Large French patio doors from the kitchen/diner open out onto a stunning decked terrace, enclosed by wooden fencing and cropped hedge, featuring rattan patio furniture to admire vast uninterrupted countryside views.

Thank you for such a beautiful home to stay in. We enjoyed a couple of sunny days at Crantock Beach, visited other beaches and much time spent in Padstow!

We have enjoyed a wonderful week in the sunshine at this wonderful house. There was everything we needed and more. We would recommend visits to Polzeath, St Ives & Mevagissey . Highlights were speed boat ride in Padstow and Blue Wing Surf School at Fistral Beach in Newquay. We also had a lovely meal at The Pickwick Hotel nearby.
