Located in the small village of Acomb, this charming property offers accommodation for up to eight guests and is a perfect base from which to explore the countryside and many historical attractions of the area, including Corbridge Roman Fort and Town which is 5 miles away. The picturesque market town of Hexham, with a medieval abbey, cobbled streets and a bustling town centre is just 2 miles away and offers plenty of choices for eating, drinking and exploring. Outdoor lovers are spoiled for choice with walking routes, whether that be from the village, along Hadrian’s Wall (parts of which are located close to Hexham) or a little further afield at Keilder Water and Forest which is within 30 miles.

This handsome stone-built house has room for everyone to relax and get together. The ground floor features a lounge with inviting furniture and views across the Tyne Valley, as well as a Smart TV. The kitchen/diner has everything needed for a comfortable self-catering break, including a large table to serve meals at and congregate. Further room can be found in the snug which leads into the conservatory, furnished with stylish wicker furniture and boasting countryside views. A convenient cloakroom and well-equipped utility room can also be found on this floor. Upstairs to the first floor are four bedrooms, some with views of the valley. To start, there are two doubles and a bunk room, and the master king-size bedroom features an en-suite shower room with a state-of-the-art, body jet shower. The family bathroom further down the hall includes a separate bath and a contemporary-styled steam shower.

The uninterrupted views of the countryside can be enjoyed from the enclosed, private garden. With garden furniture and a gas BBQ for making the most out of time spent outdoors, you might find you won’t want to head back indoors!

We were very pleased with Original Cottages. Documentation excellent and communication was outstanding. The property was otherwise. No recent information or recommendations from the owner. The fridge and freezer were switched off when we arrived. No instructions about the oven that was also off. Requests to only use washing machine or dishwasher aRead moret strange times. No rubbish bags or sponges. Tourist leaflets from 2019!!!!! Hide

Excellent location and easy booking system. Many areas of the house to very high specification namely bathrooms kitchen and utility room. I am guessing that over time the rest of the house will be brought up to date in dcor
