This impressive home is located on the edge of Bowness-on-Windermere and offers breathtaking views across Lake Windermere, perfect for group get-togethers in the inspiring Lake District. Bowness-on-Windermere is a bustling tourist town with a wide variety of shops selling local produce, outdoor clothing, locally made crafts and gifts, as well as a good choice of cafes, bars and restaurants. The Lake District offers plenty for outdoor enthusiasts - from sailing and climbing to hill walking, horse riding and kayaking. From the pier at Bowness, boat trips are available to tour the lake.

This magnificent Edwardian house radiates charm and grandeur from every aspect. On the ground floor, you will find: a formal dining room with elegant oak panelling; a formal sitting room with luxurious leather sofas, inlaid decorative panelling and a remote start gas open fire; a cosy snug with Smart TV and remote controlled gas fire; and a separate cinema room with a huge Smart TV and motorised curtains. There is also a show-stopper open-plan kitchen/diner/lounge space with a central island, four wine coolers, a range cooker and a built-in bar with its own sink. In the middle of the room is a large dining table, and a comfortable seating area with Smart TV is arranged beside full-height windows to make the most of the beautiful lake views. The bedrooms in this property are all individually named. The Grasmere Suite is a spacious room with lake views, a super-king-size bed and an en-suite bathroom with a wet-room-style shower and free-standing bath. This bathroom also doubles up as the main family bathroom; it has two entrances, one from Grasmere Suite and the other from the main landing. On the third floor, there is Windermere Suite, a self-contained studio with its own kitchen and a delightful balcony featuring seating for two with views of the lake. There is comfortable seating, Smart TV, a small dining table and a king-size bed which can be hidden away, as well as an en-suite shower room. The studio has its own entrance accessed via an external spiral staircase and can also be accessed internally from the main house.

We had a fantastic stay at this house in the Lake District. The garden was great for the kids to play in and they loved the treehouse. We also loved how close it was to key Windemere attractions. The house itself is very tastefully decorated and was a very comfortable and relaxing place to spend our holiday.
