This detached farmhouse is stunning inside and out. Sleeping eight in four bedrooms, it’s surrounded by a 150-acre organic farm and is the perfect spot to relish a break in the rural peace and quiet of the Brecon Beacons National Park. As well as generous interiors, there’s a hot tub, games room, garden and fishing rights on the nearby river. But, if you want more, then there are plenty of walking and cycling trails plus quaint market towns around the area. For the intrepid, Zip World Tower is a 23-mile drive.

The open-plan living accommodation downstairs is stylish, with attractive rustic features such as exposed beams, wooden floors and bare stone walls. Settle on one of the comfortable sofas in front of not one but two open fires (and Smart TVs) on opposite sides of the lounge. The large kitchen is well equipped, and the dining area is perfect for nights with all the family as the table easily seats eight. To top the ground floor off there’s a conservatory with stunning views across the farm and fields, a shower room with WC and practical hanging space in the rear porch, should the Welsh weather not play ball. Upstairs, you’ll have to draw lots for the deluxe king-size en-suite bedroom with a hand-carved bed, and Smart TV. But the remaining two doubles and the twin room also offer a welcome space to rest your head with wood-panelled ceilings and feature walls. They share a bathroom with a walk-in shower, bath and WC. But there’s even more, in the attic room you’ll find a games room with a pool table, air hockey, table football and TV – should you have any old scores to settle!

The property is surrounded by lawned areas to the front, rear and side. In addition, there’s a rear patio with a hot tub, BBQ and fire pit – all with commanding views over the valley.

This was a beautiful cottage set in a gorgeous location and absolutely ideal for exploring the Brecon Beacons and all it has to offer. The beds were extremely comfortable and the hot tub was definitely a highlight with its wonderful views of the countryside. The kitchen was very well kitted out for self catering. We would definitely stay here agRead moreain and explore more of the local area. Hide

The hob was not clean, (looked it but when we cleaned it after a spillage it clearly wasnt) the ovens also wernt great. For the money there wasn't much left by way of dish washing equipment, scourer etc and the teatowles had seen much better days. The kettle lid was broken, a light bulb in the main bedroom was out, the oven gloves have a hole. The Read morehot tub whilst good, if we had been able to use more I fear the water would have gone bad. Don't think anyone looked after it during the stay and there were no cleaning / chemical check instructions. Instructions for the heating would have helped a lot! All that said I am sure people just aren't highlighting so things aren't know to be fixed. Please pass on! Everyone slept well , the bathrooms were plenty good enough etc so thumbs up all round.
