Set in an idyllic waterside location, this delightful house has lots of space and a wonderful terrace, perfect for groups to enjoy this part of the Cornish coast. With estuary and harbour views from all the main rooms, the house is all about the waterfront position. Set in the charming olde-worlde fishing village of Polruan, a Special Area of Conservation, it’s a great place for spotting sea birds and other wildlife, and enjoying stunning walks along the South West Coast Path. Walk 3 miles to Pansallos Beach, a hidden cove ideal for sunbathing and swimming with awesome views. Set out to St. Catherine’s Castle, a 12th-century fort 1.5 miles away, by first catching a ferry across the estuary from Polruan Quay. Climb the castle turrets for an excellent panorama of the harbour and views out over the English Channel. Polruan has a range of pubs, cafes, restaurants, and shops to visit, and Fowey is just across the estuary with quirky boutiques, art galleries and studios to enjoy.

The reverse-level accommodation occupies the top two floors of a large house, designed to take advantage of the incredible views. The spacious open-plan living/kitchen/dining area has gorgeous modern furniture and styling. There’s also a breakfast bar for grabbing a quick bite to eat, and both the living room and kitchen have panoramic views. The dining area faces the estuary, with a Juliet balcony and sliding doors to the terrace. There’s plenty of comfy seating in the living room and patio doors lead out to the terrace. Conveniently, there’s also a utility room for doing laundry. Downstairs are four bedrooms: two large king-size rooms, one with an en-suite with a walk-in double head rainfall shower; a twin room; and a bunk bedroom. The king-size and twin rooms all have gorgeous river views. There’s a further bathroom, and a shower room too.

Outside, there’s shared access across the lawn to steps that lead down to the river. A frape mooring is available for guests who want to hire a small boat or put a kayak on the water. There’s also a terrace with fabulous views and comfy furniture to relax on.
