This spacious character property is surrounded by farmland and natural beauty, offering a vast number of accessible adaptations throughout to make life as easy as possible for parties with disabled guests. Located in West Down, many of North Devon’s beaches are within close proximity for a day out exploring and getting to know the coast, including Woolacombe (4 miles), Saunton (7 miles) and Croyde (6 miles). The market town of Barnstaple (11 miles) is also less than half an hour's drive away for a spot of shopping or to find a fantastic eatery for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

This property has been thoughtfully converted to ensure it meets the needs of any disabled guests, starting off with a wheelchair for access between the ground floor and first floor. The Great Hall is wonderfully characterful, with an inglenook fireplace, vaulted roof and log burning stove for cosy evenings, with a range of sofas and chairs for everyone's comfort. The snug lounge is a great place to retreat for peace and quiet, with a TV, fireplace and plenty of seating. A 30ft kitchen/dining room offers the ultimate area for feasts, seating up to 12 around the large wood dining table. The kitchen itself has state of the art facilities and plenty of space to create a meal to remember. All six of the bedrooms have luxurious oak doors and flooring and offer varying levels of accessible alterations. The large ground-floor room is accompanied by an en-suite shower room. Two of the upstairs bedrooms share a Jack and Jill en-suite. The family bathroom has a free-standing bath, whilst all bathrooms have roll-in showers and have been thoughtfully designed with people’s additional needs as the highest priority.

The outdoor space is just as fantastic as the indoor, with facilities to dine alfresco in the yard, or ramble out to the large field complete with private lake for a picnic, or to take part in water sports such as boating, canoeing or kayaking. A heated 5.5m pool with adjoining hot tub provides the perfect place to unwind, and just a few steps away is a changing room with shower and WC for ease.

Excellent property, with excellent facilities having the use of ceiling hoists in holiday accommodation was an added bonus. Pool and hot tub was well used by all the party. This was our second stay at Otter Pool Barn. Our adult son has a complex physical disability and the property has an amazing level of accessibility and equipment for those with physical disabilities. Brilliant place to stay my wife who has MND cant walk or move but we could get her electric wheelchair around the house with no problem The facilities for disabled people were second to none it made our holiday very relaxing We even got her in the hot tub
