A beautifully finished, bright holiday home, this Aldeburgh retreat is ideal for a large family booking or a group of friends on a special stay away. Sleeping eight guests, the four-bedroom property is at the heart of Aldeburgh, where you can amble down the main street, browsing in independent shops and looking at menus in cafes and restaurants. It is within 150 metres of the shingle beach and is in an ideal location for picking up the 6-mile Sailors Path trail to Snape Maltings, a collection of converted Victorian buildings now housing shops, galleries and eateries, as well as a concert hall. Head 2 miles along the coast road from Aldeburgh to Thorpeness to spend time on the beach there.

Make your way into the beautifully finished cottage to discover a spacious, light-filled, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner alongside three bedrooms at ground-floor level. There is a lounge area, with an open fire to stoke up as you relax in front of the TV, and a stylish, contemporary kitchen, fitted with everything you might need to prepare delicious meals for your party to enjoy in the dining area with its charming table. The ground-floor bedrooms include a twin, a bunk bedroom suitable for children only, and a double that is wheelchair accessible. There is a family bathroom at this level too, with a step into the shower. There is a lovely king-size bedroom with an en-suite shower room on the first floor.

The courtyard garden has ample space for guests to spill outside and bask in the sunshine. There is a table with seating for outside dining and a garage nearby that guests can use for cycle and other storage.

The off road parking was to narrow for us to park our car and open doors to get out.

We had an issue with our booked cottage (flood) was notified on the day as we were travelling but was given a lovely cottage upgrade and there were no problems. Thank you for making what could have been something very stressful into something that didnt really affect us at all.

We had the most wonderful week in this super comfortable house this Easter. The location was ideal for the range of age groups in our party easy access to shops, restaurants, the beaches, country walks and the all important football pitch for our son! Location wise it was perfect for popping out to pick up food or eat out with everything we needRead moreed just five minutes stroll from the doorstep. The house is a real home from home and everything has been really well thought out. It has a brilliantly well equipped kitchen (the overflow fridge a luxury in a rental property we definitely made use of!) which made catering a pleasure. The sitting areas are super cosy and bright perfect for a relaxing break. Fresh air and comfy beds also meant we had a very restful week! Wed love to go back with more friends and family in the future Aldeburgh is firm favourite with us and we are really pleased to have found this gem of a house which ticks all the boxes for a fantastic holiday.
