This luxurious holiday home will bring the coast to you on your seaside break as it overlooks popular Abersoch Beach and beyond. If you can pull yourself away from the hot tub, Abersoch’s main beach is long, sandy and scenic: hire a colourful hut for easy family beach days, try paddleboarding or take a boat trip when conditions are good to the nearby scenic islands of St Tudwal’s and Bardsey. You may even be lucky enough to spot some dolphins as you sail. Visit alternative beach Porth Ceiriad, which is scenic and dog friendly, by walking along the scenic Llyn Coastal Path which you can access just outside the property. Don’t forget a visit to the village of Abersoch itself which has lovely places to dine as a group from seafood restaurants to ice cream cafes.

Enjoy the tranquillity of the Scandinavian-esque style that flows throughout this impressive two-storey holiday home, which you’ll enter via a handmade French door in the courtyard. Take steps up into the boot room where you can store anything from wetsuits to pushchairs. This handy room is charming thanks to the stacked bookshelf and oak bench. Head through to the kitchen which boasts original quarry tiled floors and solid oak worktops. It has a Nespresso coffee machine for those all-important morning brews. There’s a dining table with chairs and a bench to the side and sliding doors to the sitting room and conservatory area, so you can create an open-plan social space or close the doors to separate them if you’d prefer. The sitting room is chic and cosy: settle on the sofa with the TV playing and the wood burner crackling. You can see the sea from this comfortable spot, through the glass conservatory. Take to the stunning conservatory for views of Cardigan Bay and as far as Snowdonia from the comfort of the chairs (that can also be used outdoors) or the traditionally made oak dining table: group dinners don’t get more spectacular. Even the utility room has glimpses of the sea in this home. Here you’ll find handy facilities like the washing machine, tumble dryer, microwave and fridge freezer. There are two bathrooms on the ground floor - one featuring a bath with a hand-held shower and one with a walk-in shower - plus three bedrooms including a twin with divan beds, great for children. One king-size bedroom boasts lovely bay views to wake up to plus a small under-the-stairs area that would be a good place for a travel cot. Choose the other king-size bedroom and you’ll get a pretty, Mediterranean-style tiled floor, French doors leading to the outdoor courtyard and a south-facing window that looks out to the rear garden, making the room bright and joyful. Head upstairs to find the final two bedrooms, including a twin with sea views through low, arched windows. The first-floor, king-size bedroom is the most romantic bedroom of the house thanks to the low, arched windows in an alcove with a rug, floor cushions and a telescope so you can admire the views and the night sky. Finally, there is a shower room on the first floor with a locally made, original basin.

Take your relaxation outside into the luxurious spaces surrounding this house. At the front of the property, take your place at the garden table with seating to admire the spectacular sea and mountain views - not to mention the wonderful sunsets. There’s also a gas and charcoal BBQ for al fresco dining. At the back of the house, there’s a charming garden with palm and fruit trees plus a hot tub for luxurious pampering. String the hammock between the palms to kick back and relax, perhaps with a book from the bookshelf. Outside taps come in handy after the beach.

We really enjoyed our weekend away at Hywelfa. Fantastic views over Abersoch bay, a 5 minute walk to a lovely beach. Picturesque walk through the Dunes/Golf course into town. The property lies down single track windy roads so be prepared. Due to its elevated position it has amazing views of the bay. It is on a very steep hill so anyone with mobility issues cannot walk anywhere. There is a 20 min short cut through the golf course to Abersoch for those who can. The property itself is lovely with everything you Could poRead moressibly need. Added bonus of Netflix for those teenagers. Bring your own games and cards. The hot tub is fabulous and great to soak up the views. Beds uber comfortable Thr Gardens are great a bit steep for a kick about but just relax. The house is very practical, great flexible space giving privacy for our extended family group. Well located with a short walk to the beach, though down a very steep hill. The house has all you need for catering at home. Comfortable beds.

We had a fantastic week at Hwelfa and the view from the house was outstanding. The hot tub was a lovely feature and the boot room was very useful. There was a good variety of kitchenware and the bedding was all okay. There should however be blinds in the conservatory and dining area as it was very uncomfortable in the house especially when dining. Read moreThe level of cleanliness could definitely do with upgrading - with reference to the floors and on top of the fridge. The vac needed emptying. It was disappointing that the bins outside were full on our arrival from previous occupants. On querying this with the housekeeper we were informed that the company had been unable to collect last week. In that circumstance it would have been helpful if someone could have gone to the tip with the rubbish in advance of our arrival. The toilet seat in the bathroom next to the utility was not secure. The foliage/garden at the back of the house (next to the annex) could do with cutting back. Hide
