This sumptuous property has been decorated and furnished to an exceptionally high standard, making it the perfect holiday choice for extended families or groups of friends looking for a special place to stay. The elegant Georgian-style house overlooks the harbour of this historic seaside town, famous for its connections to Bram Stoker’s Dracula. Popular attractions include the 199 Steps, which lead to the haunting ruins of Whitby Abbey, and Whitby Museum, which showcases collections of local fossils, model ships and other curiosities. Another highlight is Captain Cook Memorial Museum, set in the house where the explorer once lived, and the wide caramel sands of West Cliff beach.
Enter the house through the magnificent Georgian-style door and onto a welcoming porch and admire the sumptuous interiors throughout. Plush seating around an open fire in the lounge includes two and three-seater leather sofas and a Queen Anne leather armchair. The bar includes an array of glasses, an ice-maker and a bottle fridge – all you need to mix up some cocktails after a busy day out exploring! The lower ground floor houses the large kitchen/diner, which looks out onto the garden. There is also a bedroom with a king-size bed (which can be made into a twin) on this level and a bathroom with a Jacuzzi bath. Head to the first floor for two more magnificent bedrooms, both with king-size beds and en-suite bathrooms with walk-in showers – one with a rainfall shower head and the other with massaging jets. The master bedroom takes up the whole of the top floor and includes a king-size bed, a seating area and an en-suite bathroom with a Jacuzzi tub.
To the front of the house is a small garden with an ornamental stone seat.
