Perched high above the cliffs and coastline of Woolacombe, this gorgeous house, designed in the Arts and Crafts era, offers unrivalled panoramic views across the bay and is large enough to accommodate several families or a large group of friends. There’s a circular walk to nearby Morte Point, just 1.5 miles away. This wild headland is a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) and visitors may be lucky enough to see kestrels or spot seals basking in the secluded coves. Woolacombe Beach has 3 miles of golden sands and a range of on-the-water activities including surfing, sea kayaking, windsurfing and stand-up paddleboarding. Families can swim with confidence here, knowing the beach is patrolled by lifeguards. The village centre has a good range of restaurants and cafes.

A large entrance hall leads to the dining room and then through to the kitchen with its range of modern units and breakfast bar which is ideally placed to take in the stunning sea views. The utility area houses the washing machine and dishwasher. There are three ground-floor bedrooms: bedroom 1 is a double, bedroom 2 is a super king which can be made into a twin on request, and bedroom 3 is a super king with a wooden floor and wonderful countryside views. There’s a shower room and a family bathroom, both with WCs. The lounge has several sofas and a wood burner for cooler evenings. Upstairs, the landing with its stained-glass window illuminates your journey to the first floor. A family bathroom with WC is at the top of the stairs and a further two bedrooms, one twin and one super king follow, both spacious with wooden floors and country views. The snug room with breathtaking sea views and a cosy two-seater sofa offers couples a romantic break from the rest of the party.

Outside, the stunning garden has steep lawns and several terraced patio areas, so young children should be supervised.

The location and the veiws from the property where amazing, watching the sunset was fabulous. The house is ideal for large family groups, the lounge area is lovely and there is a very well equipped kitchen. The only downside is the double bedroom in the annexe which is very small with little storage and the ajoining showroom is very tired. OveraRead morell we had a lovely family holiday, 3 generations together and the weather was hot and sunny every day, we loved it. Hide

This really is a wonderful place. It was more expensive than we would normally pay but worth every penny. There were 9 of us, aged between 13 and 80 and all of us loved it. The house has loads of space and I felt the owners had made efforts to think of everything we might need to enjoy our stay - a very well equipped kitchen, comfy beds, buckets aRead morend spades and other items for the beach and even a telescope. But the view across the bay is obviously the best treat of all. What I loved particularly was that unlike other resorts we did not see a single speed boat in the bay to upset the calm of the water - this in the 3rd week of July. We saw seals lying on the rocks just a short walk away, and once some dolphins in the bay. We had wanted to take a boat trip to Lundy Island but to do this we should have booked in advance. A great relaxing holiday for all of us in a beautiful and peaceful setting. Hide

Brilliant location overlooking the bay with wonderful views. Short walk down to beaches and Woolacombe centre or Morthoe village. Comfortable, spacious and well-appointed property with good indoor and outdoor spaces for family group of ten to sit together and eat together.

The house was ideal for our three generations. Plenty of space and amenities. Beds were comfortable, lots of hot water and very cosy on chilly nights. The kitchen had everything you needed to prepare meals, with large amounts of cutlery, plates, bowls etc. A wonderful welcome pack was much appreciated by us and a special pack for Ebony the dog. OfRead more course the best feature has to be the fantastic views over Woolacombe. It is a relatively easy walk to get to the beach and the amenities. Plenty of parking, currently 12 for the day! On our last evening we fetched fish and chips from Morthoe, delicious and only a 10 minute wait whilst it was prepared. We will be hopefully be returning next year. Thank you. Hide

We were a group of three families with children and had the most amazing holiday in August. The house was more than we were expecting and we enjoyed lots of time at the beautiful bays and beach, which are within walking distance. The outside areas were perfect for dinners and drinks outside and I would highly recommend. We all agreed that this holiRead moreday will take some beating! Hide

The location of this cottage is perfect for the stunning scenery and sea views. Unfortunately the way it was presented ruined the first 3 days of the holiday and smell of damp in the annexe area prevented that bedroom from being used.

The view from Harrold Lodge is absolutely stunning it really makes the stay worthwhile. Its also in a great location, with an easy and scenic walk into Woolacombe. The house has lovely period features and lots of space. However, we did feel the cleanliness wasnt up to the standard of previous years - there were lots of cobwebs in each room, un-hooRead morevered rugs, and there were quite a few spiders around the house which made things a bit uncomfortable for some of our group. We hope this was a one-off and that future guests (ourselves included) can enjoy the house at the high standard we know it can offer. Hide
