Property code: OC-P00795

An exquisite, character cottage, set in leafy grounds near the West Looe River and Kilminorth Woods, this beautiful retreat is perfect for a group stay. Sleeping eight guests, the four-bedroom hideaway is 2 miles from Looe and 3 miles from the coast. Head out on foot from the property to walk beside the river and through the South East Cornwall countryside. Take your party down to East Looe Beach, 2.5 miles away, for a day out on the sand or to Polperro, 3.5 miles away, where there is a tidal pool. Venture 8.5 miles for a day trip to Polruan, catching the ferry over to Fowey to browse in the shops and dine out in a cafe, pub or restaurant.

Open the front door to the cottage, leave your coats in the hall, and wander on through to the lounge, where there are two wood burners, one at either end of the room. Fire these up on chilly days and perhaps find your favourite programme on the Smart TV. The snug, where there is another Smart TV, is also a pleasant place to spend time with your nearest and dearest. Open the door in here on to the patio on warm days. Take turns at preparing hearty feasts through in the farmhouse-style kitchen/diner, then call everyone to the table. There is also a WC downstairs at this property. Find all four of your bedrooms, including a bunk bedroom and two king-size rooms, one of which can be made up as twins upon request, up on the first floor. There is also a twin room here that can be set up as a king-size if arranged in advance. Two stylish family bathrooms with separate showers, are also at this level.

Spill out into the leafy garden with its outside seating area and magical views of Looe River, Kilminorth Woods and the valley. Cook supper on the BBQ out in the fresh air and soak up the tranquillity.

It is a beautiful cottage in a lovely, quiet location in the forest next to the river. There are many beautiful walks, especially the path following the river to Looe.

this cottage was absolutely beautiful- the location was stunning right by the lake with canadian ducks and owls at night (although quite a drive down some scary lanes!) the home was equipped fantastically, we genuinely couldn't have asked for more. Even the neighbours were lovely and chatty- Great stay

This lovely cottage is situated at the bottom of a lane in an idyllic spot by a river, which is tidal from Looe. There is always something to see and wildlife to admire. The cottage is charmingly furnished and the kitchen is equipped to an incredibly high standard, so even the most demanding of cooks would find catering a pleasure.
