This Grade II-listed, four-bedroom townhouse is set across three floors and boasts contemporary interiors with excellent attention to detail. It’s nestled at the heart of a chocolate-box village. Bamburgh is famous for its castle, coastline and wonderful walking trails. Crowning 9 acres of the Great Whin Sill, take a walk through history at the iconic Bamburgh Castle 0.5 miles away, one of the country’s finest coastal fortresses that has stood guard above the Northumberland coast for thousands of years. Founded by the RNLI, dive into the life of Victorian Britain’s greatest heroine at the Grace Darling Museum. And explore Bamburgh Beach, perfect for surfing, sandcastles and an idyllic wind-swept stroll looking out at the North Sea, with views of Holy Island and the Farne Islands.

An entrance hallway welcomes you into the property, leading you through to the spacious yet cosy lounge featuring comfortable sofas, a Smart TV and a magnificent open fire stretching across the entire chimney breast. Through to the adjoining dining room, you’ll find even more comfortable seating, plus a large wooden dining table, wooden bench and enough chairs to seat eight guests. Patio doors at the rear of this room open out into the light and bright conservatory, complete with an all-glass pitched roof and relaxed seating. Back through the ground floor, you’re met with a well-equipped kitchen, kitted out with everything you might need to cater as well as a high-end contemporary finish. There is also a well-presented bathroom on this level. Upstairs, on the first floor, you’ll find a spacious king-size bedroom featuring a TV and an en-suite shower room, a double bedroom also benefiting from a TV, a quaint twin bedroom and a family bathroom. The second floor comprises a cosy attic bedroom with an additional 4’ double bed (for one guest) and views over the rooftops towards Bamburgh Castle.

Outside, you’re met with a well-presented courtyard beyond the conservatory, complete with a patio and enclosed by a painted wooden fence, for the perfect private spot to enjoy al fresco dining with family. The owners of this property have also provided all guests with access to local leisure club facilities.

The cottage is in the perfect location for Bamburgh. On the same street as the pubs and cafes but not noisy. You can walk the short distance for dinner in one of the pubs or restaurants in the evening. The property is nicely decorated and features all the amenities you would need. Parking nearby was easy. Sunny courtyard was a bonus. Making the mosRead moret of the location and easy access to the beach means we didn't stay inside a lot, but the living room sofas are a little tired and uncomfortable. Solid floors thoughout the ground floor are practical and all the rooms are nicely proportioned. Hide

We stayed at Village House for a family get together to celebrate a landmark birthday. We found it to be cosy and comfortable on a very wet weekend in October. Because the house is so comfortable and had plenty of room for 5 adults, two teenagers and two dogs, the weather was not a problem. We found everything we needed was available in the properRead morety and the proximity of The Lord Crewe Arms for breakfast and dinner was a bonus. The welcome pack was generously filled with great goodies.. We wished the weather had been a little better so that we might have made more use of the comfortable conservatory. The availability of logs for the fire was much appreciated. Highly recommended. This cottage was in a lovely location. The beach was excellent for children and there was a nearby playground. The cottage was comfortable and had plenty of crockery and cutlery for 8 people.
