Please find an account of our Northumberland visit 04.07.26-11.07.26. My mother, my husband, myself and our three sons arrived at dinner time, to find the TV remote would not change the volume, as a family we could not hear the TV, my teen sons attempted to change the batteries, which made no difference. They then assessed the stereo system whicRead moreh was was also not working. The large Phillips CPU and two Phillips speakers were not even connected to the TV! I found the master bedroom en-suite floor to be thick with dust, grime and numerous colours of hair of different lengths. I cleaned the floor. (Which is not an easy task as the door only opens half way- hitting against the bed frame) My mother explained that there was a rubber seal (20-30cm) lay on the floor of her shower tray & a bit missing to the door frame. My mother is a disabled badge holder and she could have easily fallen while showering. Why was this issue not highlighted and fixed prior to our stay? A few calls later a helpful maintenance man was booked to visit. Before he arrived my mum spoke of being unable to use the downstairs bathroom as there was a Brocken lock. The maintenance guy added that he did not have a replacement lock to fix it. He also confirmed that the 3 seater sofa was Brocken (the two seater also has a Brocken beam.) He made a temporary fix to the shower seal, adding that the shower door needed replaced. Images of shower and dirty flooring sent to management as requested. The sofas were not the Large luxurious leather sofas as advertised the armchair was the only chair my mum could independently lift herself out of. The sofas were incredibly dirty and uncomfortable. Many Kitchen chairs wobbled. 05.07.26- a second email was sent to management with attached images of the kitchen double doors wood rot and dangerously corroded, broken, metal bench in the terrace area. The Pretty Patio Garden as described online was filled with dead dying plants, one pot was full of weeds, one section of night lights did not work, the washing line was corroded and continued to extend when the wirewas clipped into position, clothes falling to the ground. The clothes pole 2.99 sticker attached was also corroded. The chrome clothes horse stored in the garage was equally cortoded with screws falling out. 09.07.26 Hot water stopped, unable to shower- we tested all taps in the house & called for assistance. Emergency Maintenance Northumberland were contacted -we were advised that maintenance were on their way. He quickly resolved the problem The owners had boiler on economy setting- water turned off during the day to save costs. During the week we found. Chipped glass in cupboard. Awful limescale on kettle, inside and covering filters- I scrubbed to improve. Metal grill rack does not fit grill tray, poor replacement. Sticky stained hall banister, I had to clean as nasty to touch. Back French doors not accessible- too high for my mother to safely use. (She used the front door to get to the back of the house) Living room lamp not working - left on floor at bin- could have keen moved to garage before arrival. Dirty utensil drawer. Main bedroom en suite fan stopped. No 1. Twin palms is not a 4 Star property as advertised. Im yet to received a single reply to the many emails of complaints sent to Holliday cottages! Incredibly disappointing holiday. Hide

We've stayed here three times and will come back again. The house is warm, comfortable and very well-equipped. Our grandchildren love the games room. We like the beds and good quality linen. It's a great base to explore the area and to be able to walk into Seahouses.

A large, comfortable house decorated and equipped to a good standard make this a suitable choice for a large party of family or friends. Large rooms, comfy beds, plenty of bathrooms along with a central location for exploring the Northumberland coast made this ideal for a xmas gathering of 3 generations of our family.

We really enjoyed our stay at Twin Palms. The property is spacious and comfortable and well equipped. There were a couple of appliances not working but this was just a minor irritation. The house is in a great location, just a short walk to shops and restaurants. We would happily stay here again. The house is modern but there are many aspects which weren't particularly appealing. Weeds are growing throughout the paved patio area and around the front door. Whilst it was generally clean, the toilet brush holders were soiled, The pans were mostly all piled together in one or two large drawers making it difficult to find things. I would give thRead moree overall rating as average and expensive for the standard being delivered. It was a spacious house and well located but we were was slightly disappointed overall. Hide

This was our first stay in this property and we were really impressed with the cleanliness and comfort. It's located in a quite area of Seahouses, about a seven minute walk into town. The beds were comfortable, the bedding and towels of a good quality and the kitchen was well equipped. It is a house we shall definitely use again.
