Its central location is perfect for a large group to enjoy everything Bamburgh has to offer. The house really is in the heart of things, sitting between a hotel and the butcher. Walk from the front door to the fabulous imposing castle (0.5 miles away), which overlooks the village, and was once considered the epicentre of the Kingdom of Northumbria. Delve into the castle’s 3,000-year history and take part in the family-friendly activities and events in the castle grounds. For other days out, why not enjoy a walk along the golden sands of the beach (0.5 miles from the house) which is a great place for surfing and other water sports. There’s also the Bamburgh Castle Golf Club, and you can also play tennis for free on the village green court, just over 150 metres from the property. Explore the excellent array of pubs, restaurants, and shops in the village, or head further afield, with Seahouses (3.5 miles), Alnwick (17 miles), Lindisfarne (15 miles) and Newton by the Sea (9 miles) all of which are in easy reach.

Inside this special, 4-bedroom holiday home on Front Street in Bamburgh, you’ll find a welcoming sitting room with lots of space for guests to relax and comfortable sofas around a wood burner that makes it a cosy space. Head through the archway to find the gorgeous dining room/kitchen, which is extremely well equipped with everything you might expect and some fantastic extras, such as a Nutribullet and pressure cooker. There’s a second dining area in the orangery, another place to sit and enjoy a meal or drink, with its fantastic glass roof and patio doors out to the courtyard, meaning that the space is flooded with light. There’s also a stylish double bedroom on the ground floor which has an en-suite shower room with a WC. The three further attractive bedrooms are on the first floor: a twin, a king-size with an en-suite shower room, and a small double (or spacious single) – all are finished to a very high standard and make for very inviting places to sleep. There’s also a family bathroom with a gorgeous roll-top bath on the first floor.

This was the perfect house for our family getaway. Location was perfect as we were celebrating a 70th Birthday. We had easy access to Bamburgh beach and castle. Great local pubs and places to eat. We enjoyed watching cricket and playing tennis. Out on the mountain bikes and went fishing from seahouses, paddle boarding off Bamburgh beach there is sRead moreo much to do in the area. The house was roomy and well equipped and practical. Small yard at the back perfect for barbecue. The hosts left a very generous welcome pack which was very much appreciated. Hide

A lovely cottage in a fantastic location. Very clean with most things you would need for a short stay. Lots of great little touches like a voucher for a free pound of sausages from the butchers, a welcome pack with wine, cheese, crackers and chocolate and free round of golf and games of tennis.

Overall excellent and we had a wonderful stay but there were just a few very minor things means I didnt score 100%, given the cost of a weeks stay. E.g poor state of decor in en suite (dirty/rotten wood), no masher in utensils, no serving dishes, storage heaters on when we arrived when it was 21C outside, oven dial indicator symbols worn off & largRead moreely illegible. Location fantastic. Some of the furniture was worn eg dining room chairs were sunk and we had to put pillows and cushions on them. Outside furniture was worn also and one chair broken. Maybe plastic is more durable. Top of the bed in big bedroom was very dusty. We loved the flow of the house and found the kitchen/ eating areas really worked with ouRead morer family. A black sofa was dropped off in the property through the week but it had a mouldy smell which wasnt pleasant but did fade. We would come back definitely. As business people ourselves we realise these are difficult times for everyone. We would recommend your company to our friends. Hide

Bad points/feedback:Kitchen starter pack was missing. Rotten chair in back yard is broken. Couldn't open cupboard to boost hot water. Took over 2 hours to book as too short notice to do online, you were too short staffed to man the phones (queued over 20 mins every time), and your phones kept disconnecting. Expensive for a 3 night stay. Good pointsRead more: everything else! Great location, well equipped, comfortable beds and chairs. Good access instructions. We had a great stay overall, thanks. Hide
