Settle back and enjoy the space and splendour of this generous, detached, red-brick villa, nestled on one of Cromer’s most exclusive roads. Sleeping up to eight guests, the impressive, four-bedroom retreat includes beautiful, enclosed gardens for outside living and a games room with a billiards table, for indoor fun. Plan days out to Cromer’s beach, 0.5 miles away, where you can picnic, paddle and swim. Book seats for everyone to see a show at the famous end-of-the-pier theatre, see the Banksy artwork on the seafront and dine out in restaurants serving fresh Cromer crab. Have a day out to the colourful city of Norwich, with its galleries, museums and historic sights, 23 miles away.

Wander into this enticing period house, via the exquisite leaded glass front door, and find yourselves in a beautiful reception hall, with wooden panelling. Explore the rest of the house to find accommodation with an abundance of character. Head through to the lounge with a living flame gas fire to settle in front of the TV or to enjoy a film on the DVD, or go into the games room to challenge members of your party to a game at the full-size billiards table. Relax in the window seat in the bay window with your book for a while or amble through to the snug, with its comfortable seating, TV, PlayStation 2 and DVD. The largest living space at this group retreat is the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, where you can light the wood burner and play your favourite tunes through the iPod dock in the comfortable seating area. Alternatively, perch at the breakfast bar with a cup of fresh coffee or a glass of wine or gather around the table for lively holiday meals, prepared in the kitchen with its electric double oven, gas hob, fridge, microwave, dishwasher and coffee machine. Pull back the bi-folding doors by the dining table on warm days. Also downstairs, is a walk-in pantry, separate WC and inner hall leading to a utility area/garage, with a washing machine, tumble dryer, extra fridge, freezer and wine fridge. There is also plenty of secure storage for bicycles and other outdoor equipment. Climb the splendid staircase up to the first floor to find a super-king-size bedroom, with en-suite Jack and Jill shower room, but no WC, that can also be accessed from the landing. There is also a king-size bedroom, a twin and a double, plus the family bathroom, with a bath, handheld shower attachment and WC.

Enjoy the fully enclosed, enchanting garden, with its lawn and fruit trees, as often as possible. Dine out here on the patio or relax in the raised, sun-soaked relaxation area. Light the BBQ when you fancy cooking outside on balmy evenings. There is parking for three large cars at this holiday home.

Not enough information about amount of stairs between bathroom & bedrooms & the fact that there was only one toilet for 4 bedrooms on the first floor (I assumed that the shower room would contain a 2nd toilet) the stairs between bedrooms & the only loo made it very difficult for my 85 mother & pretty tricky for a two year old. We had a bad experience with Original Cottages last summer where a house had very bad damp throughout and no-one would help us at all. That is why I am reluctant to recommend OC even though this experience was good. The experience totally relies on the owner. It is this owner I would recommend, not OC.

Lovely house and fabulous location. Lots of room for all and games room brilliant. Kitchen very small but nicely stocked with equipment. Could do with another shower but as a lazy holiday and no rush we all managed. Garden enclosed and great for the dogs and the 5year old to enjoy safely- we all enjoyed our stay- thanks

We had a great week at Lismore House. The location was great. We loved the garden, the games room and the space in the house. We felt that one shower isn't acceptable for a 4 bedroomed house. The sisal carpet was uncomfortable to walk on and it would have been helpful for us to have had a highchair in the house.
