All of which are less than 1 mile from the cottage. Bamburgh, with its spectacular castle, is 3 miles away, while the Farne Islands, home to a great many varieties of seabirds and seals is accessible via boat from Seahouses Harbour. A little further afield, Alnwick, with its castle where Harry Potter famously attended Hogwarts, is 15 miles away. Walking and cycling routes, including the Sustrans Coast and Castle Route, are accessible from Seahouses. Guests at the property can enjoy membership throughout their stay at the nearby Ocean Club where amenities include a 20-metre indoor pool and leisure suite.

The ground floor of this charming property includes an open-plan kitchen and diner, well equipped with everything needed for a comfortable self-catering break with plenty of space for communal dining and patio doors out to the garden. Beach Plaice is a fantastic property in an excellent location, right next to the beach. The owners have thought of everything, including a well equipped kitchen, utility room and extremely comfortable living spaces. Having two ensuite bedrooms this property is ideal for two families or grandparents. Would highly recommend this property.

Beach Plaice is a beautiful spacious house just a short walk from the centre of Seahouses. It was very clean and comfortable. We couldnt fault it, would definitely recommend this to anyone, hope to use this house again.

Fantastic property! I cant rate it highly enough. A beautiful large house which was perfect for us and our 4 teenagers and dog. Everything was spotlessly clean and incredibly well equipped. Kitchen and bathrooms were all superb. The location is ideal with the beach right across the road and a 5 minute walk into the town. Another bonus is the Read moreBeach House hotel next door which has a lovely bar with great views out to see and the Farne Islands. Couldnt ask for anymore and would recommend to anyone. Hide

Beach Plaice is the perfect seaside family holiday home, it had everything we could possibly need and having the beach and shops so close was ideal. Would recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing seaside stay!

Communication was good. The welcome pack offered by Original Cottages was very poor. And not at all welcoming. We were a party of 7, were provided with 2 x 97 mls of milk ( 27 mls each!) we were provided with 3 packs of toiletries , which contained the tiniest bottles possible and a miniature soap,. A simple offering of locally sourced Bread, MilRead morek, butter and eggs would have been much more welcoming and better for the environment . Check in was after 4pm, it would have been nice if the heating had been on when we arrived as it was 31/3 and the house was very chilly Hide

We often visit seahouses and have stayed in many of the holiday lets. This time we all agreed it was the best yet.
