This is a large and fabulous house, ideal for extended families and groups of friends wishing to share special moments together. Set in a tranquil hamlet on the edge of Bamburgh, this property is perfectly located for exploring this famously beautiful area of Northumberland. A few hundred metres from the property is Budle Bay, a nature reserve whose mudflats and beach are home to an abundance of birdlife. The historic town of Bamburgh is 2.5 miles away. It has a long stretch of sandy beach, a golf course, quaint streets filled with eateries, pubs and independent shops, and of course, the magnificent castle – which has been occupied by members of the Armstrong family since 1894.

This fantastic house has more than enough room for a party of eight to spread out and make themselves at home. The ground floor features spacious and comfortable rooms, stylishly decorated and equipped with everything you need for a memorable holiday. Relax in the large lounge with its abundant sofas and its wood burner in an impressive inglenook fireplace. Take a seat in the furnished conservatory to enjoy the sunshine and garden views, get some work done in the study, or play a round of pool in the games room. The vast, beautifully finished kitchen has everything you need to cater to a crowd, then enjoy your home-cooked creations on stools at the breakfast bar or gathered around the table in the dining room beside a second inglenook fireplace. A handy utility room contains a cloakroom, washing machine, drying rack and plenty of space to kick off sandy shoes before heading into the main house. A shared shower room completes the ground floor. Climb the main stairs from the hallway to find another seating area, a mezzanine lounge with a sofa, easy chairs, bookshelves, a TV, and an Xbox. Off this landing lies a shared bathroom and three bedrooms, one double, a twin, and the master bedroom. The master is a fantastic room with high ceilings, a king-size bed and an en-suite. The fourth bedroom, also a king-size, is accessed via a separate staircase from the kitchen.

This property has a large, beautiful garden with a furnished patio and an extensive lawn bordered by mature trees, shrubs and a stream. There is also a wonderful, enclosed BBQ hut with padded bench seating and a central cooking station, the perfect venue for hosting memorable evenings.

The blue poppy house is a beautiful house in a great location. Although comfortable it doesnt feel very inviting. Maybe Ive been spoiled before but we arrived late with two small children and there was no loo roll, no soap and no basics like salt, pepper and oil for cooking. I was looking forward to use the bbq hut but there wasnt enough coal and tRead morehe hut couldve done with a clean. The house felt clean and towels and sheets were fab! Great house with huge potential if given a bit more love, making it worth the money we payed. Hide
