This characterful detached house set right in the middle of Wangford village has tons of space for families wanting to explore walking, cycling, boating and the seaside. Choose between the lovely golden beaches of Southwold, 3.5 miles away, for relaxing and swimming, or Walberswick Beach, 4.5 miles from the house, more suitable for windswept walks and watching out for birds and wildlife in the dunes and marshes. Don’t miss the Under the Pier Show on – or rather, under – Southwold Pier, featuring some very eccentric inventions. For an exciting boat trip out to sea, head to Southwold Harbour 5 miles from the house, for a visit to Scroby Sands to see the seals and visit the wind farm.

Leave your coats and shoes in the tiled entrance hall and enter the expansive, welcoming lounge with its ceiling beams, exposed brick wall, wood burner and comfortable sofas and chairs. The separate dining room, which is decorated with flair, has a long table and pew seating as well as more armchairs and an open fire. Steps lead down to the spacious kitchen with all that you need should you wish to cook at home. A utility room houses more appliances and there’s a storage room and cloakroom with WC on this level. Two light-filled king-size bedrooms are stylishly decorated with wrought-iron bedsteads and touches of colour. Each has an en-suite shower room. Upstairs on the first floor, there’s a pretty double bedroom with a dormer window. Children will love the large room just for them with two sets of bunk beds, games and toys, a sofa and a low table and chairs. The family bathroom on this level has wooden floors and a free-standing roll-top bath.

Outside is a small, enclosed front garden. The kitchen door leads to the beautiful rear garden with mature trees, gravel paths, lawns and shrubs and a greenhouse. One area is paved and has an outdoor table, benches and gas BBQ. There’s a pond with a grille over it for security. The garden shed is perfect for storing bikes.

We had a great family holiday in this spacious interesting house and garden. There were three couples and 4 children (one in a travel cot) It is a great location in a quiet village only 3 miles from the beach at Southwold which the children loved. The house was cosy and well equipped

Lovely property. Spacious and a nice outside area for BBQ's. In winter there is a log burner which would be very cosy. Lovely location. Ideal for exploring the Suffolk coastline.
