Superbly converted from a 19th-century mill, this holiday home is set over four spacious floors and offers views over the canal, water meadows and fishing pond. Spend your days fishing (permitted by licence) in the pond on your doorstep – it’s stocked with pike, tench and bream. Alternatively, head to the traditional Thursday market in North Walsham (2 miles) to find something for dinner. Or, spend a day visiting the seals at Horsey Beach (15 miles), or treat yourself to some tasty fish and chips in the traditional seaside town of Cromer (11.5 miles). Alternatively, head to Wroxham (10 miles) and hire a boat to explore the waterways of the Norfolk Broads.

Step inside and you’ll discover a chic interior that showcases this unique building’s original beams and period iron works. Kick off your shoes in the ground-floor boot room and then make a beeline for the impressive open-plan sitting/dining/kitchen on the second floor. Rustle up some dinner in the stylish kitchen area, where you’ll find a central island and four bar stools, an electric range cooker, fridge/freezer, microwave and dishwasher. There’s also a handy utility cupboard in the landing area with a washer/dryer. Host a meal to remember at the dining table and then open up the French doors, pour yourself a drink and see if you are lucky enough to spot any otters and kingfishers from the balcony. Alternatively, slip onto a sofa and spend some time chatting with your nearest and dearest in front of the room’s glowing wood burner. With its Smart TV, DVD player, portable Bluetooth speaker and Xbox console, this is a great place to socialise with your loved ones. When it’s time to call it a day, you’ll find one single bedroom on the first floor with a TV and Xbox, and three more bedrooms on the third floor. Two are super-king-size rooms with balconies; one has an en-suite bathroom with a separate shower and WC, and one has an en-suite shower room with WC. The final bedroom has four single beds, perfect for a kids’ sleepover, with an en-suite bathroom with a shower attachment and a WC.

Cubitts was a really nice location, primarily on the top 2 floors of the converted Mill building. The highlights are the main indoor room which provided a great space for us, while the location and setting by the mill pond and with the nearby walks was also great. Beautiful property in an ideal location. The accommodation was well thought out and extremely comfortable. We were with family so ages were varied but everyone was well catered for. Overall it was an excellent choice.

The property is very unusual and provides stunning views across the Norfolk countryside. The location is ideal for visiting the North Norfolk area with beaches, the Broads and nearby towns and villages in easy reach. It is spacious and well equipped making for ideal family accommodation.
