Located in the heart of Padstow town sits this grand, period townhouse. Full of elegance and space, it’s the perfect holiday home for a family gathering or reunion of friends. When it comes to eating, food-lovers will be spoilt for choice with an abundance of excellent seafood restaurants right on the doorstep. Padstow Harbour is also only 150 metres away, and from here you can jump on the ferry and cross the River Camel to Rock. The long, sandy beach in Rock is a good place for a swim or a spot of windsurfing. Alternatively, pick up the South West Coast Path from the harbour and discover St George’s Cove just 1 mile away. The more energetic can walk the 3 miles to Stepper Point where you’ll be rewarded with the most stunning views of the estuary.

The house is spread over three floors, and it’s on the ground floor where you’ll find the open-plan living area. Whitewashed walls, high ceilings, and cool tiled flooring make it a relaxing space, with Velux windows and glass patio doors drenching the whole place in natural, uplifting light. Chat with friends on the huge corner sofa or create memorable meals in the fully-equipped kitchen. There’s also a delightful glass-topped dining table, overlooking the patio, where you can linger over meals. Once you’ve eaten, step through to the separate lounge room where you can enjoy a good book on the leather sofa. A handy shower room is also on this floor and there’s a hallway for storing coats and boots. A staircase leads from the hallway to the first floor where three bedrooms are located. Featuring a super-king-size bedroom (with the option for twin beds if requested when booking), a twin bedroom (with the option for super a king bed if requested when bookings),and bunk beds, the rooms are light and airy and furnished comfortably, with creamy tones and soft linen. There’s also a bathroom on this floor. The classy decor continues upstairs on the second floor where the master suite is located. Featuring a super-king-size bed and an en-suite bathroom, there’s also a delightful light-filled seating area offering up views of the beach and estuary.

While the interior is wonderfully soothing, the outdoor patio is an equally serene space. Lush foliage and a high wall lend tranquillity and privacy and there’s even an outdoor shower, perfect for washing the sand from your feet. With no distractions here, come dinnertime congregate around the outdoor table and enjoy an al fresco bite to eat.

We had a fabulous Christmas break at Kittiwake. The property was superb in location and inside was comfortable and had everything we needed and more. The layout of the house suited us and there was plenty of room for 6 adults. We will definitely be back!

We had the most wonderful time at Kittiwake. The house is absolutely lovely, beautifully fitted out and with a wonderful enclosed outdoor area. We were a family group of seven and found that the house perfectly suited our needs and was a pleasure to stay in. Would definitely come back to Kittiwake when we get the chance again.

Outdoor space could have been cleaner & cling film was missing but otherwise the house was beautiful and well located. Beds a little hard for us. We would stay again as these are minor and overall we loved it

This was the perfect property for us and our mothers. We could go off walking and our mothers could potter around the harbour. Fantastic restaurants and pubs in Padstow. Kittiwake was in a great location, modern and well kept.

Lovely light spacious house in a great location just minutes walk from Padstow harbour. Highly recommend Kittiwake especially for families.

Two items that would have been useful to have would be an oven glove and pegs for the washing line. The bathrooms and linens were all very clean but I feel that the floors could have been cleaned to a better standard. That said, we have stayed in many holiday houses in Padstow and this really is one of the best!
