Large modern home, less than 0.5 miles from the village of Woolacombe. An ideal property and location for families or groups of friends, take a brisk downhill walk to the village to discover three miles of golden sands, magnificent surfing opportunities, and a variety of family-friendly restaurants, pubs, and attractions. Woolacombe beach is one of the best in the UK and has also been recognised as the 13th best beach in the world. You can also explore the pretty villages in the surrounding area, including Trimstone (1.8 miles) and Bradwell (1.5 miles). Take a wander through the country lanes, then stop for refreshments at a quaint Devonshire tearoom. If you enjoy walking or hiking, the edge of Exmoor National Park is less than 20 miles from this property. The wild expanse of this National Park offers a dramatic and picturesque environment. Lovely property with great views. Accommodated extended family of 12 with ease, owners really have thought of everything and it felt like a home from home. We had a wonderful stay and wouldn't hesitate to return.

We loved this property. The views over Woolacoombe were amazing. We were on holiday with extended family holiday, we found there was plenty of space to be together or separate when needed. Well equipped inside and out, and use of car charging point was a bonus. Would definitely recommend and we would book again.

Mount Rose is a large, well equipped and comfortable house suitable for extended family or group stays. We especially liked the decked outside seating area with comfy sofas and a lovely view down to the sea. The house is about 30mins walk to Woolacombe beach - although the walk back is uphill so be ready to climb back up after a beach day out! Two Read moresitting rooms and two TVs worked well for us. And the kitchen and dining area is large with everything you need to self cater, including an extra fridge and drinks chiller which were very welcome. Beware the steep driveway which we found challenging. We loved Woolacombe beach, cycling the tarka trail, a walk to see "Verity" in Ilfracombe, walking the coastal paths from Croyde to Baggy Point and to Crow Point, sailing trip fishing for Mackerel from Ilfracombe, and a day at Arlington Court National Trust. But we would recommend swerving the aquarium at Ilfracombe - it is tiny and takes less than 10 minutes to see everything in it - not worth the money in our view. Hide

Our Christmas Holiday was very enjoyable, The house was warm and welcoming and nicely decorate with a Christmas Tree. There was plenty of room for our large family. The bedrooms were roomy and plenty of bathrooms. We would stay again. Well done Marsdens

Fantastic property in a great location. Great walks from the property to the beach and coastline. Re cleanliness we found property dusty, cobwebs around the lights which looked as if they had been there a while. Floor wasnt hoovered. Fridge was a bit dirty. Trying to drive onto the road from the drive why was a bit scarey because you do not have cRead morelear sight on the right. There is bushes over grown which obscure the road. If this was cut back it would be safer. Can imagine may put people off. Also back gate into garden is in the wrong place. Should be at the side of the property. Meant we had to leave the gate unlocked which means any one had access to the back garden. Overall we had a great time. Hide

We had a wonderful break at Mount Rose, the property is in a stunning location with beautiful views yet in easy walking distance of the beach and all the facilities that Woolacombe has to offer. This is our second visit to Mount Rose, we love North Devon and all that it has to offer particularly outside the peak season. Lovely bracing walks along the magnificent Woolacombe beach with the dogs and a fabulous log fire to come back to. Excellent, well equipped property in good location. We had a party of eleven including four grandchildren aged 3 to 8 who thoroughly enjoyed the week. very pleasant terrace with superb views. Extremely helpful owner who resolved our problem when the local Gas supply was cut off. We have no hesitation in recommending this property.
