We stayed here for a week at the end of August 2026, with two families, comprising two adult couples and three teenage children. The house is well situated for an easy 10 minute walk to the town and beach. Parking was not as bad as we'd feared. There was off-street parking space for one car and it was easy to find a space for the other car in KingsRead more Road West, nearby. The accommodation is good, with a nice secluded garden at the back. The utility room is great, as is the kitchen. The conservatory was ridiculously hot and humid. There are two showers: one in the downstairs toilet and one in the bathroom. Both are very cramped and the water pressure is poor - it would be better to have power showers. Although two bedrooms face onto the road, the double-glazing is good at keeping the noise out at night, but it does mean you can't have the windows open. There are two lounges, one with a big TV and one with a small one and a range of board games. We were amused to find the original Trivial Pursuit - 1983 edition - so the entertainment questions were almost impossible. Hide

Lovely stay in October! Blessed with great weather. Fab location, close to shops, beach, pubs. Found some great dog walks for our spaniels. Lovely and clean. Comfy beds. Would definitely recommend.

Overall the cottage was lovely and spacious and also in a very good location to the town and beach. Car parking was tricky if you have a large car, but plenty of off road parking so no problem. Stairs bit steep for someone with mobility issues. First time in Swanage, and I thought it was a really pretty place.. would definitely recommend it to fRead moreriends and family. Hide

The cottage was lovely and clean and comfortable and we had everything we needed for our 3 night stay. We were blessed with brilliant weather which was great but it meant it was a bit noisy at night with people coming home from the pubs. However, the 8 of us and 2 dogs had a marvellous time!

The house was perfect for us, a group of four couples. Ideally located, comfortable, relaxing and well catered for. Beautiful period property with a very short walk into Swanage and the sea front. Would definitely stay again.

Great location in such a nice town. It is a bit tired but clean and great to have two living rooms and a large kitchen diner. Beds were comfy and heating worked well. We would stay again. Parking space is for a small to medium car only.

The situation of the cottage is good, being five to ten minutes walk from the town centre! Having a convenience store almost opposite is also very useful. Off-road parking, again, very convenient. Having, effectively, two lounges is also a positive feature. The heating system was very efficient and the controls easily understood, making for a warm Read moreand comfortable stay. We stayed at the cottage over Christmas and except for a few minor issues, had an enjoyable stay! Hide

We had a wonderful stay at Swanage. The kitchen is really well equipped which was fantastic as we cooked everyday. It was in a perfect location and easy to access to wander into the town and also make the most of the incredible coastal walks. Thanks so much for hosting us!

Lovely property, great kitchen/dining area which is where we spent most of our time during the day. The lounge was a bit small for 5 adults. All bedrooms are a great size and beds very comfortable. Kitchen/dining area great for socialising.

The house is large and well equipped, walkable to the town centre, the draw back is the parking space which is a bit tricky to negotiate if you have a large car but we managed ok with our ford kuga. The garden at the back is very small and overlooked so not really a great space to sit and relax.
