Perfect for families, reunions and special occasions, this spacious, detached, eight-bedroom property features an excellent hot tub with a rural view and two cosy wood burners, near Machynlleth and the Snowdonia National Park. The vibrant historic market town of Machynlleth is home to the oldest street market in Britain, which you can explore every Wednesday. In addition to the town’s quirky shops, restaurants and cafes, MOMA Wales (2 miles) is a must-see for art lovers and creative minds, showcasing a plethora of inspiring modern Welsh art. Join the Glyndwr's Way footpath within 0.5 miles of the property for a long-distance stroll amongst the amazing surrounding scenery, or meander along the Dyfi Valley Way, 1.5 miles away, following the River Dyfi from the estuary in Aberdyfi to the source at the summit of Aran Fawddwy. The long, sandy stretches of Ynyslas and Aberdyfi are both within 12 miles of the property too.

A spacious entrance hallway welcomes you into the property and leads into the first lounge, flooded with sunlight from the beautiful bay window, complete with a cosy wood burner, leather sofas and a TV. A second equally as spacious lounge provides more sofa seating, another wood burner and patio doors out to the garden. Back through the property, you’ll find two contemporary kitchens, each kitted out with everything you may need to cater plus plenty of worktop space. There is also a handy utility room adjoining the second kitchen that houses a washing machine. The rest of the ground floor comprises two stunning dining rooms, one boasting a large wooden dining table in front of a lovely bay window seat and the other a smaller dining table set and two armchairs. Upstairs, you’ll find three en-suite king-size bedrooms, another king-size bedroom and two double bedrooms, each benefiting from a TV and window seats to admire the wonderful views over the garden and down the Dyfi Estuary. There is also a bathroom with a luxurious spa bath and another contemporary family bathroom on this level. The second floor comprises a spacious landing area and two twin bedrooms nestled in the eaves of the property, that feature beautiful, exposed oak beams.

The property is surrounded by an extensive enclosed lawn, enjoying stunning views over the Dyfi Valley and estuary, which children will love playing in and exploring. A beautiful, elevated decking area is the perfect spot to enjoy dining alfresco with all the family before taking a dip in the hot tub. The tiered front lawn magically blends into the landscape beyond, and there’s a garden bench for you to soak up your amazing surroundings from. Outside, there is also a lockable garage with plenty of room to store bikes.

This property was well equipped very clean. We are a group of 15 who have stayed in many large houses and this is by far the best. The hosts Annie and John were so friendly and welcoming and the bara brith was well received and delicious.

Stunning location and very friendly and helpful owners who went above and beyond to make sure we had a good time. The property itself needs a tiny bit of attention to make it perfect. One of the shower rooms smelt of damp and in another shower the seal was coming away at the bottom. All in all I would happily return.
