This stunning stable mews offers plenty of space for two families or a group of friends wishing to holiday together on the spectacular North Devon coast. Lynton and Lynmouth are two neighbouring villages elegantly connected by the Cliff Railway, the highest and steepest water-powered Victorian railway in the world. Picturesque Lynmouth provides a dreamy escape from modern living with its rows of charming fishing cottages and shops that cluster around the pretty harbour. Lynton, perched high above, is a vibrant Victorian village retaining a quaint mix of past and present with numerous pubs, shops and restaurants. Whether venturing along the undulating South West Coastal Path or into the heart of Exmoor National Park, the Lyn Valley and the entire North Devon coast are blessed with beautiful walks and trails. The Valley of Rocks, 1 mile west of Lynton, is famous for its herds of goats, geology, and stunning sunset views. The Lynton & Barnstaple Steam Railway (3 miles) is fun for all the family, where you can journey back in time on Devon’s most popular narrow-gauge railway. The market town of Barnstaple is 20 miles away where you will find a wide range of shops, pubs and restaurants.

This holiday home has instant curb appeal with its stone walls and slate tiled roof. Entering the double-height hallway, the sweeping oak staircase is beautiful feature. The attractive lounge has comfy seating and a cosy log burner in an inglenook fireplace, perfect for enjoying a glass of wine with friends or family. The well-equipped kitchen offers ample space for families or friends to dine together, and the handy utility room is a welcome additional space. Also on this floor is a stylish shower room with a walk-in shower and a wheelchair lift from the kitchen to the double bedroom. On the first floor are four bedrooms; one with a king-size bed and TV; one with a double bed; and two twin rooms with zip-and-link beds that can be joined to form two king-size beds. There are two bathrooms on this floor.

Outside is a lovely courtyard garden with a table and chairs, accessible from the living rooms and kitchen.

This property is exceeded our expectations, location was perfect, spotlessly clean, very pet friendly. The owners were very helpful and provided great recommendations for a local Sunday Roast! An ideal property for large or 2 families to share. We plan to visit The Stables again for sure as we all had a fantastic time!

Situated within Lynton town, opposite the cliff railway and close to shops, restaurants. Parking within the gated establishment for 2 cars, additional car parked in car park with parking permit. Good living arrangements, ample seating and very comfortable beds. Well equipped. Outdoor seating areas in the small garden. we this property hired for our hiking holiday as it was close to the SW Coastal path and it was beyond our expectations. The Stables is a lovely property right in the centre of Lynton, where we have been regular visitors for decades testimony to the location! The photos didnt do the living room and kitchen justice, they were large, bright and airy spaces for relaxing and sharing time with others. We really liked the upstairs arrangement too, where two families couldRead more have private bedrooms and bathrooms. The outside space was small but adequate for our needs. It was well equipped, a lot of the cupboards were utilised as storage. There wasnt a key safe or a safe in the property which sleeps 8, and there is only one key, this made it difficult to be independent without compromising the security of our belongings and corporate equipment, so a key safe would be a wish-list item for us. Only a small thing, but the hedge was overgrown making it tricky to comfortably put the gate on and off the hook, but a quick trim would fix that! It was difficult to want for anything in this property, I would put it in the top 5 properties we have visited in this area and I would have no hesitation recommending it. Hide
