A detached L-shaped cottage set off quiet country lanes with a real “wow” factor, a place where a large family or group of friends can gather together in spacious living areas to mark a special occasion in total privacy, enjoying a range of facilities and activities both on-site or farther afield. Water sports lovers can enjoy the golden sands of Traeth Penllech (4 miles), Abersoch (7 miles) and Porth Neigwl (9 miles). Walkers can join the Llyn Coastal Path – an 84-mile around the Llyn Peninsula linking Caernarfon and Porthmadog -- just 3 miles from the cottage. The village of Sarn Meyllteyrn, home to tea rooms and pubs and a host of other amenities, lies less than 1 mile away.

Ty'r Mynach is a combination of two well-appointed and tastefully decorated cottages, which are set over two levels and can be booked separately or together. The pair are linked by a conservatory with comfortable seating and views out towards Rhiw mountain. It has a tiled, heated floor and a TV. On the lower ground floor of one wing, you’ll find a stunning open-plan kitchen/dining area. As well as a gorgeous oak kitchen with granite worktops, you’ll find a large dining table and a TV. Double doors lead out to the front patio. On this side of the property, there is also a relaxing sauna room. The first of three characterful bedrooms has a super-king-size bed which can be made into twins on request, and its own en-suite wet room. Up a few steps from the kitchen, you’ll find the second bedroom with a super-king-size bedroom with zip-and-link beds which can be made into twins on request; and a family room with a king-size bed and a full-size bunk bed. The two bedrooms without en-suites share a stylish shower room. This wing also has its own utility area and an outside utility room.

Through the conservatory, in the other wing, is the second fabulous open-plan kitchen/lounge. A large dining table, comfy sofas, a TV and a warming wood burner set against an exposed stone wall await. There are four bedrooms: a jaw-dropping super-king with a 4-poster bed and spa bath in the corner, which opens out into a conservatory with TV, along with an en-suite shower room; a family room with a king-size bed and a full-size bunk bed; a super-king which can be made into twins on request; and a super-king which can be made into twins on request, with an en-suite wet room. The two bedrooms without en-suites share a shower room. There is also a utility room in this wing, along with a sauna room. The whole of the property’s lower floors enjoy underfloor heating.

The first floor is home to another lounge, with a TV and seating arranged around a wood burner and from which guests can enjoy fantastic views of Rhiw mountain on one side and the remainder of the Llyn Peninsula on the other. There are two upstairs bedrooms: a light and bright family room with a king-size bed and twins under the sloping ceiling, and an en-suite featuring a shower over the bath; and a king-size with an en-suite bathroom comprising that enjoys panoramic views of the Llyn Peninsula.

Outside, guests can dine alfresco on the patio on picnic benches with food prepared on the BBQ. Younger guests can explore the children’s play area, while everyone can join in or watch a match on the football pitch.

The house was beautiful immaculate very high standard of fixtures and fittings. There was everything we needed and more contained within the house. We all loved staying at the house its location meant that the children were able to run about care free in the garden. We all loved every minute of our stay in the house.
