For a memorable family trip or getaway with friends, stay at this charming contemporary cottage in rural Suffolk. You’ll be in the rural village of Friston, right on the edge of the Suffolk Coast & Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. There’s a pub 150 metres away and the surrounding area is rich in wildlife, plus woodland and other natural areas you can discover on foot, in the car or by bike. If you fancy a day out by the sea, head to the charming seaside town of Aldeburgh, 4.5 miles away, or the quieter Thorpeness, which is a little further north (5 miles).
The huge lounge is a wonderful place to relax, with two corner sofas, entertainment including a Smart TV with Netflix, plus mood lighting to create a chilled atmosphere. The wood burner will keep you toasty on chilly evenings. Floor-to-ceiling, bi-fold doors from here lead to the patio outside, creating an additional sense of space. The kitchen has a large oven and hob plus everything you need to create wonderful culinary treats, which you can share at the large table. Alongside the light-filled dining area, there’s additional built-in seating with cushions. There’s also a double bedroom with en-suite shower room downstairs, along with a handy wet room with a walk-in shower and a WC. Head up to the first floor to discover the further three beautifully presented bedrooms – a super-king-size and two twins – plus the family bathroom. The cosy bedrooms all have attractive gable walls. This beautifully decorated home is filled with extra seaside-themed decorative touches to make you feel at home during your stay.
Out the back, there’s a good-sized garden with a patio area and furniture, plus a lawn surrounded by shrub beds. This is an excellent space for enjoying meals outdoors and for pets and children to burn off steam.
