This delightful three-storey stone cottage in Lower Slaughter offers a serene retreat for families and friends seeking a countryside getaway. Lower Slaughter is one of the most beautiful villages in the Cotswolds and provides a tranquil setting along the River Eye. Enjoy a stroll through the village admiring the unspoilt surroundings including stone footbridges, a 13th-century church and an old watermill. Nestled between Bourton-on-the-Water (2 miles) and Stow-on-the-Wold (3.5 miles), this location offers further opportunities to enjoy family-friendly days out taking in some beautiful sites and attractions including museums, eateries and boutique shops. Cotswold Farm Park (6 miles), Cotswold Wildlife Park (14 miles) and Cotswold Water Park (20 miles) are firm family favourites. If you’re feeling lucky, why not head to Cheltenham Racecourse (17 miles). Bourton Vale Equestrian Centre (1 mile) is a short walk or drive away where you can book horse-riding lessons or rides to explore the countryside.

On arrival, you are greeted by the timeless allure of Cotswold stone architecture. Step through the wooden door into the hallway from which you can access the open-plan kitchen/diner. The brand-new stylish sage green kitchen is fitted with all the modern amenities you need to make your stay comfortable. When the chef of the party prepares some tasty meals to keep you fuelled up for your adventures, enjoy this time together at the dining table which looks out onto the garden via the French doors. Across the hall is a comfortable sitting room with an open fire to be enjoyed on those chilly evenings, which leads to the wonderful conservatory room – an ideal place to relax with a book or to further those conversations after dinner. When it's time to retreat for the evening, venture upstairs to discover five tranquil bedrooms to choose from. On the first floor, you will find a spacious master bedroom with an emperor-size bed and en-suite shower and bath facilities. A double and a single bedroom (both with ample storage space for your belongings) and a family bathroom with shower over bath are also located on this floor. Head to the top floor of the house to find two more spacious and bright bedrooms: a double and a twin and a shower room with a shower and WC.

Outside, the cottage boasts a private garden, where you can savour some al fresco meals on the patio or simply laze around on the lawn.
