Whether you seek a tranquil retreat, a venue for grand celebration, or a picturesque backdrop for that special event, this 18th century country manor house stands as a majestic testament to timeless elegance and refined luxury. Having been in the same family since 1893, this enchanting property now welcomes you to experience the charm of a bygone era and create memories here that will last a lifetime! When you’re not immersing yourselves in the property grounds, roam the surrounding 1300-acre Sugnall Estate complete with a historic walled garden, woodland walks and wild pools. Or indulge in nearby country pursuits and outdoor activities such as shooting, fishing and off-road driving. The vibrant Staffordshire market town of Eccleshall is only 2.5 miles away, and boasts a variety of cosy pubs, quality eateries and independent shops. Being in the heart of The Midlands and only 8 miles from the M6 at Stafford, it’s the perfect reunion destination and an easy base to plan exciting day trips from; Trentham Gardens (10 miles), Wedgwood and Emma Bridgewater Potteries (less than 15 miles), Hawkstone Park Follies (18 miles), Cannock Chase Forest (21 miles) and Alton Towers (24 miles).

Stepping into this majestic property through the main entrance, you’re royally welcomed by the grand entrance hall; dark wood panelling, a sweeping staircase and intricate antique furniture whispering tales of centuries past, and instantly setting the tone for this sophisticated stay. An intimate dining room to your right makes space for a solid oak table seating 12, with a finely crafted feature fireplace and complimenting dressers, enhancing the rooms charm and artistic character. The contrasting Old Billiard room is a grand, impressive entertaining space that seats up to 40 people; perfect for those celebratory meals, and big occasions. The warm hue of the large open fire bathes over the floor-to-ceiling oak panels, mounted with an array of taxidermies, creating an atmosphere that is both inviting and majestic. A baby grand piano is perched in the corner, along with wireless smart speakers and the facility for a big screen, making the space extremely versatile and bespoke for a range of events. The fully equipped farmhouse kitchen has everything the keen cooks of the group would need to conjure up a delightful feast in the evening. However, if bringing in caterers for the big break is more to your liking, this can certainly be arranged in advance and there is a large back kitchen with ample preparation space and additional storage. An elegant drawing room decorated with beautifully hand painted Chinese wallpaper and classic chandeliers, creates a cosy space for you to come together and settle in for the evening around a roaring open fire. Gather on one of the five available sofas for intimate conversations, to play the families staple board games or opt for your favourite film on the 65 inch Smart TV with access to Netflix, Now and Amazon Prime. The first floor is a collection of 7 luxury en-suite bedrooms, each tastefully decorated in a unique and stately theme. Amongst them you have the master suite featuring an opulent double bed, oak fireplace, TV and separate walk in shower and bath, the Summer Bedroom offering beautiful views of the luscious green gardens and the Print Room adorned with quirky wallpaper and a king-size bed. Also on this floor, you will find The Boudoir; additional luxury living space with 2 comfortable sofas, a working desk and TV with Freeview. Moving up to the second floor, you’ll discover the remaining 7 bedrooms; 3 of which share a family bathroom complete with separate bath and shower where the others are occupied with an en-suite. All bedrooms feature luxurious bed linen and towels, a clothes brush and hair dryer and high-quality shower gel and handwash in the bathroom and en-suites.

Emerging from the captivating internal flower passage on the ground floor at the rear of the property, you are greeted by four acres of beautifully designed landscaped gardens, crafted by a garden historian with a pedigree traced to the iconic Privy Garden at Hampton Court. The transition from inside to outside is breathtaking; the large front lawn that stretches to the front of the property is picture-perfect and ideal for lively games of croquet under the warm summer sun. The grounds welcome your leisurely morning stroll through the apple orchard and rose garden, and be sure to go and find the Little House; a Tudor-era labourer’s cottage which was moved from its original place and made into a playhouse for the children of the family in the 1920s. A 7-person hot tub invites you to relax in its jacuzzi bubbles, appreciating the picturesque gardens and panoramic views that stretch as far as The Wrekin in Shropshire, close to the border of Wales. Breathe in the fresh, countryside air as you relax in a sun lounger in this delightful setting, while the children frolic with laughter in the distance, creating precious memories they’ll treasure forever. Extend your evenings outside, as this space accommodates outdoor dining complete with teak furniture, a charcoal BBQ and an iron fire pit; encouraging unforgettable al fresco gatherings under the open sky. This breath-taking property promises to be more than a destination; a true royal experience that blends history, luxury, and natural beauty.

Sugnall Hall is a fantastic place for a house party. It is incredibly well equipped and it was great to have plenty of tea/coffee/milk as well as fruit and continental breakfast provided. All the rooms are of generous proportions, the grounds are lovely and plenty of choices for gentle strolls from the door.
