Wearhead village is nestled amidst the stunning North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the picturesque heart of County Durham. This area is known for its breath-taking views across the valley, its moorlands, and its forests. Enjoy a gentle river walk on the Weardale Way and families can visit the play park. There are two village pubs, as well as welcoming cafés in St. John’s Chapel (2 miles). Walking and cycling enthusiasts can explore scenic routes from the doorstep, including sections of the Pennine Way. There are numerous opportunities for outdoor activities, from off-road cycling and birdwatching to horse riding, fishing and stargazing. Explore High Force Waterfall (9.3 miles), Summerhill Force and Gibson's Cave (12 miles), Burnhope Reservoir (1 mile), Killhope Lead Mining Museum (3.5 miles), or Hamsterley Forest (20.9 miles) for walks and cycling trails.

Enter the front door and head into the first lounge/diner where you will find a comfortable sofa, Smart TV, and cosy wood burner set into the stone fireplace. The large dining table has seating for eight, so you can sit down together for family meals. There is a second lounge with two comfortable sofas, a well-stocked bookcase to browse through, a Smart TV for family film nights, and another warming wood burner so you can relax and unwind after a day out exploring the area. Wander through to the spacious, well-equipped kitchen/diner where the family cook can conjure up some tasty meals with a double electric oven, electric hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, microwave, and dishwasher. There is plenty of worktop space for food preparation and another dining table perfect for early risers’ breakfasts or for sociable drinks while dinner is cooking. Off the kitchen, there is a utility room with a washing machine, a tall fridge, and an additional small freezer. This room leads to a useful family bathroom with a separate bath, perfect for children’s bath time or if you would like a quiet soak, and a shower cubicle and WC. On the first floor, there are four good size bedrooms, each with an en-suite shower and WC. Two super king-size bedrooms; one with a TV, and two twin bedrooms.

Outside, at the rear, there is a small patio area with a bistro-style table and seating.
