Amble is known for its stunning coastline, maritime heritage and friendly locals. Wander to the harbour to see colourful fishing boats and yachts in the marina, with a view of Warkworth’s medieval Castle just across the estuary. Stroll along the promenade for views towards Coquet Island and beyond and enjoy a boat trip to see the island’s wildlife reserve. There are shops, bars, fabulous seafood restaurants, renowned fish and chip shops, coffee houses and ice-cream parlours, all on your doorstep. Head to Warkworth village (1.5 miles) to see the Castle, browse the shops and play on the sandy beach. Explore Alnwick Castle and Gardens with water sculptures and a treehouse restaurant (9 miles). Head to Craster for smoked kippers and walk the coastal path to Dunstanburgh Castle’s dramatic ruins (13 miles).

Located in the centre of this popular, bustling seaside town, enter this warm and welcoming property through the front and into the bright, generous hallway where you can sit down to remove walking boots and hang outdoor clothing on the coat stand. A glazed door leads into the bright and spacious lounge with plenty of comfortable seating for everyone to be able to relax and unwind in front of the cosy wood burner. Enjoy a movie night watching the Smart TV, read a book or play a game. At dinner time, the family chef will enjoy preparing tasty meals in the well-equipped kitchen and you can sit on bar stools to enjoy a Nespresso coffee in the mornings. There is a washer/dryer if you need to do some laundry, and a small step-down takes you to a downstairs WC and the back door. The whole family can sit down together for sociable meals at the large table in the beautiful dining room where you can also find a reading area and bookshelves with books and games with a couple of easy chairs. Upstairs on the first floor, there are three well-appointed bedrooms; one with a super-king-size zip-and-link bed (which can be made up as a twin on request) and its own TV for lazy lie-ins watching the news, a double bedroom, and a twin bedroom. The first floor also has the family bathroom with a ‘P’ shaped bath with a shower over and WC and a separate shower room with a shower and WC. The fourth bedroom is up a further half-flight of stairs and has a double bed and a view towards the seafront.

Outside, there is a private games room set inside the garage with casual seating, a pool table, table tennis, and darts. This space is perfect for children and teens to let off some steam and have their own chill-out zone close to the house. Guests can use the large BBQ and utensils, please ensure the BBQ is cleaned prior to departure.

  • 3 dogs allowed. Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week

Fabulous cottage, well equipped with everything you could possibly need. Great location and kids loved the games room! Plenty of space and spotless! Would definitely recommend.

We loved our time at the cottage, the location was brilliant and the facilities were excellent, the cottage had everything we needed and more. The games room was brilliant, but being in the garage its colder and we therefore didnt spend as much time in as expected - if wanting to take advantage of out of season take warm layers!
