A stunning, impeccably converted 18th-century barn complex, tucked away on a quiet lane but within easy reach of the village of Gilberdyke and its local amenities. A perfect base for family and friends to get together, relax and explore. Visit the historic market towns of Howden (6 miles) and Beverley (14 miles) for relaxed days out. The ancient city of York is only a short drive away (28 miles) with attractions including the Jorvik Viking Centre, National Railway Museum and Castle Museum to name a few. For family-friendly excitement, be sure to visit the award-winning William’s Den Adventure Park (5 miles) or the fascinating marine world at The Deep in Hull (20 miles). For a trip to the coast, Hornsea (30 miles) is known for its beautiful beach and Hornsea Mere, the largest freshwater lake in Yorkshire. Beyond the property, there are many walking and cycling trails to follow and local scenic beauty to enjoy. Highlights include the Humber Estuary and the banks of the River Ouse, North Cave wetlands, and the Wolds Way.

Step inside and you’ll find this beautiful old farm building has been thoughtfully converted into a holiday home with a relaxed contemporary feel. The interior is bright and spacious with a galleried landing looking over the open-plan lounge, dining hall and kitchen. There’s room for eight guests around the dining table and big, comfortable sofas gathered around a log burner in the lounge. This is the perfect spot to relax and watch a movie on the Smart TV. The kitchen is well equipped, and the large kitchen island is a sociable spot to perch on a stool, open a bottle of wine or supervise the chef. There is a utility room with washing machine and a snug/games room with Smart TV and games console. Upstairs in the Threshing Barn are three bedrooms: one king-size with en-suite shower, one which can be set up as a super-king or twin, and one double bedroom. A family bathroom completes the first floor. The self-contained Courtyard Barn, which is only a few metres away and flanks the garden, has a double bedroom with en-suite shower room and a lounge/kitchen/diner with Smart TV, perfect to retreat to for some peace and quiet.

Outside, there is a sheltered courtyard garden, a large patio with dining table to enjoy your al fresco meals, and a lawn where you can play a selection of garden games. The parking area to the front is large, has adequate space for 4/5 cars and open views across the fields. See what wildlife you can spot.

Amazing holiday! Our family of five stayed here over the Easter break and it didn't disappoint. It is more stunning in real life than what you see in the pictures. We have been to many cottages over the years and this one is by far, the best one we have stayed in. Everthing you need is provided. We were given a welcome basket to enjoy, which was a Read morelovely. Sarah was kind enough to meet us on arrival to show us how things worked. Our two dogs loved the walk up the lane, too.
