After long walks exploring the Clydian Range, chuck any muddy laundry in the washing machine in the utility area and continue into the cosy lounge to plan your next adventure, enjoy a glass of wine or settle down in front of the Smart TV. Head over to the modern kitchen to make a feast for the whole troop and savour social mealtimes together around the refectory table. After dinner, the games room is equipped with table football for some healthy competition or feel yourself unwinding with a dip in the wood-fired hot tub, which is located in the camera-worthy old bullpen. When it's time for bed, crisp white linens and neutral tones in the four bedrooms will drift you off to sleep, while the first-floor family bathroom is great for long leisurely soaks in the roll-top bathtub. From the property's doorstep, meander through endless beauty with footpaths around Coed Y Felin Nature Reserve, Waun Y Llyn Country Park and on even further to Hope Mountain. For tasty treats to fill your cupboards, walk 0.5 miles from the cottage to the local farm shop, where you can purchase home-reared meats, chutneys and a plethora of cakes for afternoon tea in the garden. Youngsters will appreciate the journey to see the lions at Chester's famous zoo (19 miles), featured on Channel 4 since 2016, while history buffs may be keen to visit the beautiful walled city with its medieval architecture, specialist shops and many eateries. There is so much to do for families and friends!

A lovely spacious place to stay with everything you need. The barn is modern, simple and tastefully decorated, the 7 of us had a fantastic stay over new year and would definitely recommend. The owners were very welcoming and helpful and the accommodation was spotless , cant ask for more !! Thank you

A lovely and modern property, finished to a high spec & ideal for 8 people. It has 2 en-suite bedrooms and 2 sharing the master bathroom, which has a stunning roll-top bath but lacks a shower which was a tad inconvenient for a group of this size. The kitchen is spacious and well-equipped, and the large dining table is perfect for socialising. The wRead moreood-fired hot tub is charming with fairy lights but took a while to heat. Ample parking for 4 cars. I would recommend it for a cosy girly weekend. Hide

The barn is beautifully done, very spacious and extremely comfortable. We had an excellent family stay (a week over Christmas). The owners were responsive, friendly and helpful. They had (tastefully) decorated for the festive season, making us feel very welcome for a first Christmas away from home. The weather was abysmal, so we spent most of our tRead moreime indoors, but really no hardship! The wood fired hot tub took us a little while to heat up, but then most enjoyable. Talon Barn is immaculately clean and tidy plenty of room for a get together with family or friends and in a nice location as a base to explore Chester, North Wales, Wrexham etc The owners were available if required and very helpful without intruding on our stay.
