Just 600 metres from the sandy bay and close to everything in historic Alnmouth, this charming and spacious cottage sleeps 12 guests across five bedrooms – one of which is a large family room with beds for four plus a cot for little ones. The house is perfectly located for enjoying the town and local area, visiting the beach, spending relaxing evenings in the two lounges (both have cosy wood burners), playing table tennis in the games room, and enjoying special meals together. Outside, you can chill out in the enclosed courtyard, particularly handy as your canine companions are welcome to stay here. There’s also secure storage if you want to take your bikes away with you, and two convenient private parking spaces.

The cottage has gorgeous original features and lots of character, comfortable furnishings, and everything you need for a fantastic break. The two bright and spacious lounges are perfect for chilling out with the wood burners roaring while you watch your favourite drama on the Smart TVs. Connecting doors make these spaces one big room. One is also joined to the dining room, the ideal space for celebratory meals cooked in the spacious kitchen, which has a large range-style oven. There’s also a utility room and a WC on the ground floor. Challenge a family member to a friendly table tennis match in the games room in the cellar downstairs. Upstairs is the bathroom, then go up to the second floor to find the bedrooms: a spacious and bright king-size with an en-suite shower room, another stylish king-size, a third king-size and a twin which share a Jack and Jill shower room, and a gorgeous, light family room with a king-size bed, twin beds and a cot, as well as an en-suite shower room. Head outside with your morning cuppa and let the dogs wander while you plan the day ahead in the enclosed yard.

The Old Post Office served us very well. Three generations congregated from Gloucestershire, Leicestershire & Ireland for family holiday plus a Labrador.
