Set in a beautiful, secluded spot just a mile from the coast, this stunning traditional stone-built cottage provides a fantastic holiday getaway for larger families and groups of friends eager to explore an idyllic part of North Somerset. Lying on the outskirts of the thriving seaside town of Weston-super-Mare, the property offers cosy accommodation for up to ten guests across five bedrooms, with plenty of space for three canine companions to tag along and discover the glorious countryside of the nearby Mendip Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. With a wide range of features including a welcoming wood burner, original exposed stonework, cute window seats, charming timber beams and stylish tiling, this light and tastefully furnished former dairy building also offers a charming garden and private courtyard, and has been sympathetically updated to provide an ideal retreat for walkers, beach lovers and groups seeking a quiet hideaway.

The cottage has a spacious lounge with handsome exposed beams, plenty of furniture and a wood burner set in a rustic-style inglenook fireplace, providing a relaxing space for you all to gather at the end of a great day out to watch a movie or plan the next day’s activities. The beautifully tiled and beamed kitchen/diner is perfect for cooking and sharing all your favourite family meals, with an inviting central farmhouse-style dining table. The first of the property’s five charming bedrooms is also on the ground floor: a pretty double room. Stairs lead from the lounge to the first floor which offers a generous family bathroom and the four remaining bedrooms: a cheerful twin, a lovely double and two delightful king-size rooms – one with a useful en-suite shower room. From the kitchen, a door leads out into a small, enclosed courtyard which makes a charming spot for breakfast. To the front of the cottage, the main garden is also enclosed, with a lawn offering plenty of space for children and pets to run and play, with a patio perfect for sitting back with some al fresco dining or a drink in hand at the end of a fantastic day out.

We spent three nights with our grown up family at Inglenook cottage whilst attending a wedding in the area. Despite being in February the property was warm. It was good to be able to spend the weekend together in a cottage that met our needs.

The cottage was beautiful and had everything we could need. The owners were helpful when we needed and the nearby area also had lots to do. I definitely would recommend.
