  • Enclosed garden with hot tub, games hut, bar and playhouse
Property code: 91480

Just like Narnia, there’s another world through the wardrobe door in this family-friendly seaside home, set moments from a safe, sandy beach. Children will adore its ‘secret’ play areas, designed to keep them occupied for hours. Older guests, meanwhile, can enjoy a game of darts, chilling in the hot tub with a drink from the bar or simply relaxing by the wood burner. Sleeping eight in four bedrooms, this impressive property is a wonderful getaway for all generations.

The open-plan kitchen/diner is at the heart of this superb Victorian house, feeling very much like a home from home. The cook will appreciate its array of appliances and equipment, and when supper’s ready you can set the wooden table and make the most of spending time with your loved ones. In the spacious lounge you’ll find comfortable seating gathered around a wood burner and a Smart TV, perfect for snuggling up with a favourite movie. There’s also a handy WC on this floor. All four bedrooms are upstairs, decorated in calming, soft tones, each with Smart TVs for your entertainment. Two bedrooms have a Jack-and-Jill shower room, while there’s also a beautiful family bathroom. The special surprise, however, is behind the wardrobe of one of the double rooms. ‘Gumpy’s playrooms’ start with a playroom with interactive games, clad in artificial grass and with small mattresses for naps, and continue down a set of stairs to an adorable play kitchen with a door to the garden. The magic continues outside, where you can BBQ on the gravelled patio and dine in the sunshine, watching children and pets play on the large lawn. A playhouse adds to the outdoor fun, as does the hot tub with its own bar and the games hut with a dart board and drinks fridge. Additionally, owners of energetic dogs can arrange to hire an enclosed, two-acre field (with shelter and seating) 19 miles from the property at £10 per hour.

A well kept and well equipped house in a great location. This was our second visit at the request of the grandchildren. Plenty of room for three generations to spread out. Lovely sandy beach is a short walk away and youre always guaranteed a quiet spot.
