Gather loved ones where the mountains meet the sea and along with some beautiful sunsets, you’ll have gorgeous views of the Llyn Peninsula and Snowdon plus your own private path to a bay where dolphins sometimes play. This stylish coastal abode has lots of sociable living space plus four bedrooms to sleep 10. Chill out in the wood-fired hot tub while the games room keeps your youngsters entertained, and enjoy effortless self-catering with trips to the on-site farm and coffee shop. Dogs are welcome, and you can all make friends with the resident cattle, goats and other farm animals.

Together-time is the focus at this coastal bolthole. A spacious detached bungalow with a wrap-around garden and space for four cars, it has fabulous farm park facilities to assure a fuss-free stay. Step inside and you’ll find a hall where you can discard outdoor gear and feel instantly at home. There’s space for everyone to spread out in the main living area, where the contemporary kitchen features a range-style cooker and has a handy utility room adjacent. There’s a farm and coffee shop close by, but when you want to eat in, there’s elbow space for everyone around the modern dining suite. Afterwards, unwind in the lounge where you can watch TV and warm your toes before the wood burner while the youngsters take over the games room where football table and a Smart TV will keep them entertained. Those who’d like some quiet or separate time can stretch out in the sunroom off the lounge, which has lovely views towards the sea and mountains, and doors opening onto the garden. When your day is done, settle the dogs and choose between four blissful bedrooms for your own great night’s sleep. The king-sized room has its own en-suite shower room, there are two double bedrooms and the final room has four single beds – perfect for siblings or friends to share. Further along the hallway, the bespoke bathroom has both a shower and a bath for ultra-convenience. The wow factor continues outside, where you can unwind in the wood-fired hot tub and enjoy wonderful sea views all day long.

Follow your own private footpath to Llwyngwril’s pebbled beach – dog-friendly, it’s the perfect spot for picnics at sunset and you might even catch sight of the dolphins that swim in the sea beyond. The picturesque village has traditional stone cottages and a well-stocked shop; its links to the early days of the Society of Friends movement are recorded in a Quaker burial ground here, while more ancient history is evidenced by the prehistoric hill fort nearby. For discoveries further afield, Llwyngwril has a railway station on the scenic Cambrian Coast Line, which runs from Machynlleth (20.5 miles) to Pwllheli (47 miles). There’s a stop at Barmouth – which is 16 miles by road – where there’s a large sandy stretch of beach and all the traditional seaside attractions.

An excellent location and a very attentive and helpful host. We had 4 children in our group who thoroughly enjoyed the stay, particularly the hot tub. The coffee and farm shops on site were very useful. We have no hesitation in recommending this place and hope to visit again.
