Escape to this beautifully appointed holiday home with a lovely, landscaped garden, set in the sleepy hamlet of Dubwath in the Lake District. Sleeping eight guests across four rooms, plus space for a couple of waggy-tailed pals, this beautifully styled retreat is ideal for a long-awaited reunion with friends or a relaxing family escape in nature. Thrill-seekers and outdoor lovers can brave the brisk waters of Bassenwaite Lake (within 200 metres) for an afternoon sailing session backed by rolling mountain vistas. Back at the house, unwind with a cold drink while perched on the padded patio furniture and bask in the glow of the crackling chiminea.

Steeped in history, this property tastefully blends traditional architecture with breezy contemporary style. Enjoy high ceilings, grand bay windows, and intricate stained-glass windows balanced by a stylish colour palette and cosy soft furnishings. Unravel outer layers in the hallway before being lulled into the elegant lounge. Graze through a nibbles board as you recline on the plump sofas and warm chilly toes by the wood burner. Those with a competitive streak can raid the board game selection to partake in some easy entertainment. As evening falls, step along the oak hallway into the open-plan kitchen diner. Get cooking on the sleek induction hob, before adorning the dining table with a tempting spread. Settle onto the bench-style seating before raising a toast to your celebration. Upstairs, slip into the sheets of one of the four tranquil bedrooms, each tastefully designed with artfully draped throws, plump pillows, and clean lines. Start the day with a sociable breakfast on the sunken-style patio then step up onto the lawn for garden games. With private parking for four cars, the opportunity for Lake District excursions is endless.

The property was really well equipped and the location was perfect. It had been really tastefully decorated and thoughtfully done in terms of everything you may need. We really enjoyed our stay and will book to come again. Karen and Tim were lovely hosts too who made us feel very welcome. Thank you.
