Located next to a working dairy farm, on the outskirts of Hartland in North Devon, sits this modern four-bedroom farmhouse. Featuring a games room, three lounges, bunk beds, and an enclosed garden it’s the perfect space for a family gathering or reunion of friends with young children. With easy access to beaches and the South West Coast Path on the doorstep, it’s a good base for those wanting outdoor activity.

This two-storey home is a welcoming space with unfussy decor, light tones, and colourful pictures on the walls. In the boot room kick off walking boots then pad through to the well-equipped kitchen where you’ll find everything you need for a comfortable stay. Enjoy a casual bite to eat at the breakfast bar or step through to the neat dining room where you can linger over a meal at the table while soaking up the countryside views through the patio doors. Afterwards, watch a film undisturbed in the first lounge, or head to the second lounge and chat with friends and family on the large sofa. Both rooms are light and airy and feature wood burners to keep things cosy on chillier nights. A third, separate lounge is stocked with board games and games consoles and children will love this den-like area. It’s a perfect space and will keep them entertained for hours. Upstairs, the property’s whitewashed walls sweep through to four lovely bedrooms featuring a mix of king-size, double, twin, and two sets of bunk bed. The furnishings are pleasant and homely touches include framed prints, colourful cushions, and bedside lighting. There are also three pristine bathrooms on this floor, and one has a delightful slipper bath so you can soothe aching muscles after a long day exploring.
Outside you’ll find a pretty patio, a shady lawn dotted with garden furniture, and a BBQ. Sit and delight in the rural views.  You’ll also find beach equipment at your disposal and a handy hot outdoor shower for rinsing off the sand after a day on the beach.

Lovely comfortable cottage, decorated nicely for Christmas which was great to see on arrival. Do not follow the sat nav, as it takes you on awful tracks, follow their directions. We had a great Christmas week here with the family, plenty of room, and the teenagers even enjoyed the retro Nintendo!

Its a great house. Really spacious and we really appreciated the well-equipped kitchen and the toys and games. The owners responded quickly to a couple of issues. The flies are a bit annoying and the smell from the farm was really strong and quite overpowering, just means everything needs to stay closed (windows etc) but we may have just had an unlRead moreucky week in that respect. The cows are literally right outside the window which is also really fun to watch! Hide

Lovely cottage in a quiet location, next to a cattle farm. Very well equipped kitchen. Lovely bed linen and fluffy towels. Good enclosed garden for children and dogs. Location is good. You need to travel on small country lanes for about 1.5 miles to get to the cottage. Parking for 3 cars. Really enjoyed our stay.

We know that it is on a farm but it would benefit from having fly screens

Beautiful cottage, lovely relaxing break. Plenty of nice beaches to visit. If a relaxing break is called for, this would be a great choice. We will definitely return sometime.
