Bask in the grandeur of this beautifully restored property set in the heart of Keswick, boasting elegant arched windows and a bespoke stone exterior. Accommodating 12 guests across six enchanting bedrooms, this sprawling abode is ideal for large families or groups of friends seeking to incorporate a touch of regal romance into their special occasion. Soak up the atmosphere as you settle in for a live performance at the Theatre by the Lake (1.5 miles), perched on the rippling banks of Derwentwater. Return to this retreat to reminisce over late-night nibbles and fine wine, bathed in the glow of the roaring wood burner.

This striking Grade II-listed townhouse boasts a graceful interior sympathetic to its Victorian heritage. Picture grand bay windows, pleated drapes, sophisticated chaise lounges, and plushly upholstered social spaces. Shrug off jackets and unlace shoes in the lobby then step through the glass-panelled doorway into the hallway. Rest up weary legs in the formal lounge, where you can stretch out by the wood burner or flick through the Smart TV for an easy evening watch. Grab a chilled bottle of bubbles and top off glasses for a pre-dinner toast, then gather around the table for a celebratory supper. After dinner, sprawl out on the squishy sofa with dessert. Chefs of the group can get cooking in the shaker kitchen with glossy worktops, or shake up some zesty cocktails while perched at the island. Early birds can recline on the raised breakfast area with a brew or throw open the patio doors to soak in some morning sunshine. If the crowds become too much, slink away to the snug and peruse the extensive bookshelf or get lost in a passion project at the desk. Climb the grand staircase and scope out your favourite of the six inviting bedrooms, with five boasting opulent four-poster beds. Whilst there is no outdoor space, embrace the ease of road trips with eight private parking spaces. Hike in the emerald hills, explore Fitz Park, and partake in a game of tennis.

Stonegarth is a beautiful house. Very comfortable with 6 large bedrooms all with their own bathrooms. It was very well equipped everything we needed was there. As anyone who knows Keswick parking can be a problem, not here, theres parking for 9 cars.
