Property code: 89620

Situated in the beautiful location of Appledore on the North Devon coast, this seaside property accommodates groups of up to nine guests over five bedrooms, as well as three dogs. Just 350 metres away, you’ll find the charming quayside, lined with picturesque fishing boats and independent eateries; it provides a postcard-perfect spot to watch the sunset. Dating back to 1822 when the property was formerly a coaching inn, the essence of its original character has been retained, with exposed beams across the ceiling, a period hall and an open fireplace, seamlessly blended with modern updates to create a fantastic base for multi-generational families.

Light, bright and airy, this property has a family-friendly feel with plenty of wooden furniture, natural light pouring in through the windows and a neutral colour palette. Creating a central hub for everybody to come together, the kitchen/diner and snug/diner benefit from a free-flowing layout to create a versatile space for morning coffees, family dinners and evenings spent playing board games with one another. During the colder months of the year, the open fire in the snug and the gas fire in the main lounge offer a warming glow to warm your cockles after a day out exploring. The decor of the master bedroom and family bathroom has been inspired by the ocean, with calming hues of blue and tasteful finishings dotted throughout. Unusually for the area, this property has its own pretty walled garden where you’ll find outdoor furniture for an evening of al fresco dining, as well as an outdoor dog washing station for those sandy beach walks.

A really well equipped house, nicely furnished and well laid out for family use. Due to the inclement Easter weather we couldn't take advantage of the garden and BBQ area, but the house itself was clean, warm and comfortable with all facilities well maintained. A very enjoyable and welcoming holiday location.

Beautiful, clean, superbly equipped and well maintained house. We had a great stay and we all loved the quirkiness of the house. Lovely big rooms, super comfy beds, great showers and bathrooms. Kitchen was amazingly equipped, lacked nothing. Parking on the car park round the corner was excellent.

Lovely home, very well equipped. Well heated and immaculate bathrooms. There are some low beams and doors upstairs but not a problem if you are aware.
