This stunning country house features three beautiful lounges: the Champagne Room acts as the TV and cinema room, while the Red Salon has classic oak panelling, bay windows, ample seating and a wood burner. The White Salon features an open fire and French doors leading through to the magnificent light-filled Orangery, a wonderful dining room perfect for special occasions. Two kitchens provide ample space for rustling up quick meals and family banquets. The ground floor also has the first super-king-size bedroom, Kinky Noir, with an en-suite bathroom and door to the riverside. Two separate staircases lead to the first floor with a bathroom, shower room and seven bedrooms, all richly decorated and featuring sumptuous furnishings, eclectic features, Smart TVs and beautiful views. There are three en-suite rooms: Rose Blush is a king-size room while Blanc des Blancs and Shades of Gris each have super-king-size beds, alongside a charming twin room and three king-size rooms: Moody Bleu, Argent Provocateur and J’adore L’Or. Bi-fold doors lead from the Orangery onto a furnished terrace and down a couple of steps to the classical French country garden with a formal lawn, gothic font and romantic loveseat. Behind the house the furnished courtyard has a BBQ, a fire pit, a hot tub and a bar with a serving hatch, making this a fantastic spot for spending an afternoon in the sun. The extensive gardens also feature a tennis court, boules pit and croquet lawn, as well as a wooded area which is sometimes home to a flock of sheep. The river runs unfenced past the property, so please take care with children.

The Blackdown Hills lie a couple of miles west, and the property is ideally situated for exploring Somerset, Devon and Dorset. Ilminster (3 miles) and Chard (5.5 miles) have plenty of great shops and restaurants, with local attractions including Castle Neroche, Waylord Woods, Forde Abbey and Gardens, Barrington Court and Montacute House, all within 14 miles.

As I said bullen court is fabulous , stunning and amazing all of the rooms are spectacularly decorated and are all individually thought out I organised a family surprise birthday for my husband and the whole family was wowed utterly fantastic!

Beautiful charcterful property which was ideal for my birthday family gathering. Sumptuous rooms and all well equipped. Greg the owner was very obliging and attentive to our needs. The whole weekend was perfect and I wouldn't hestitate to recommend Bullen Court.

Fabulous house, with so much on offer. Greg and Anna have thought of everything. What was special was the regular communication, especially prior to our stay, it was very reassuring. All rooms are very well appointed, with wonderful beds & bedding. Thank you both very much, we hope to return.
