Gaze out towards the Cumbrian coast from this impressive, group holiday home situated on the fringes of Askam-in-Furness on the northern coast of the Furness Peninsula. Sleeping ten guests, the five-bedroom retreat is ideal for a large family getaway or would suit couples eager to escape the hustle and bustle of their daily lives together. Just over 0.5 miles from the beach, where you can fish, paddle and pick up the 180-mile Cumbria Coastal Way, the property is also just 5.5 miles from the Lake District National Park, with its dramatic scenery and many beauty spots. Return from your group adventures to soak up the evening sunshine along with the views or to bask beside a crackling wood burner.

Make your way into this characterful, coastal property to wander through bright, airy accommodation and relax together in cosy rooms. Members of your party might like to light the wood burner in the snug/diner and find a film to watch on the Smart TV. Another relaxation space a little further on also has a wood burner to unwind beside, while the conservatory is a light-filled space where others can enjoy a quiet cup of tea or a hand of cards at the table. The kitchen, with its Aga, is a welcoming and well-equipped room for whipping up group dinners. Also downstairs is a family shower room. Make your way up to the first floor to discover the main lounge, where you can find your favourite programme on another TV, open the door to the patio to take in the views, or pick out a tune on the grand piano. Follow two staircases up to the bedrooms. These include three doubles, one with an en-suite shower room, and two king-size, one with an en-suite bathroom. There is also another family shower room. Dine outside in the shared courtyard or have a glass of wine on your private patio as the sun goes down over the sea. There is off-road parking for one car at the house and additional roadside space, subject to availability.

Fantastic accommodation! So many rooms to relax in - my favourite was the lovely sitting room upstairs with a grand piano, sofas and doors to a patio space with views of the sea past the local town. Very useful Arga in the kitchen and plenty of washrooms. Highly recommend for value-for-money minded travellers aiming to spend time in southern parts Read moreof the Lake District Hide

5 star! Stunning house, most well equipped cottage I've ever stayed in. Luxury but homely vibe. Extremely high quality. The photos don't do it justice. Beautiful views. Short drive/walk down to the beach.

Wonderful location with fabulous views of sunsets over the estuary. Spacious and we'll supplied with books, games and dvds.
