Enjoy a getaway by the sea in this spacious townhouse in Cowes. The vibrant town is the perfect place to try a whole host of water sports and is home to a world-famous regatta every August. Cowes boasts a fantastic array of independent eateries, many serving fresh seafood. The property sleeps 12 guests across six bedrooms and has two fabulous dining areas – a banquet-style dining room and a gorgeous roof terrace with sea views, inviting garden furniture, a hot tub to unwind in and a fire pit. The property’s bedrooms are incredibly flexible, with zip-and-link beds so you can configure the sleeping arrangements to suit your group.

Step off the high street and into the four-storey townhouse. The property has a home-away-from-home feel and has a traditional floating staircase connecting each floor. On the ground floor you’ll find a super-king-size bedroom (can be made up as a twin on request), along with a shower room and utility area. Heading upstairs, you’ll find another bedroom that can be made up as a super-king-size or twin, as well as a spacious family suite comprising two super-king-size beds (again, these can be made up as twins). This floor also houses the family bathroom. Climb the stairs to the second floor, where you’ll discover the kitchen and an impressive banquet-style dining room/lounge. This fabulous social space has a dining table, a coffee bar area, drinks fridge and lounge with large comfortable sofas where you can unwind in front of the smart TV after dinner. The final three bedrooms – again all king-sizes that can be made up as twins – and a shower room are located on the third floor. Outside, the property boasts a stunning rooftop terrace, where you can all gather for memorable evenings of al fresco dining. There is private parking for two cars, plus on-street parking for one car.

Cowes is home to the biggest sailing regatta in the world, plus many other sailing events, and the waters surrounding the town are a hive of activity during summer months. It’s easy for you and your fellow guests to get amongst the action, with plenty of companies offering sailing courses and boat trips, as well as pretty much every water sport you could think of. It’s not all about sailing, however, and the town has a rich history. Why not hop on the chain ferry to East Cowes, where you can visit Osborne House? This opulent building was the summer palace of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert, and you can wander amongst its beautiful garden terraces and on the Royal Beach.

Seafarer's View is a great place, situated right on the high street in Cowes, with a beautiful view from the roof terrace. It is furnished to a high standard and the beds are very comfortable. There was plenty of space for 12 people, and plenty of crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils. One small issue is that the hot water can run out if people taRead moreke long showers one after the other (this only happened to us once). The owner is very friendly and helpful. I'd definitely stay here again. Hide
