The lounge area contains plenty of comfortable seating for cosy evenings in front of the warming wood burner. Located on the edge of the Hamstead Heritage Coast nature reserve, fantastic walking and cycling trails begin from your doorstep. For a group expedition to the seaside, the beach at Thorness Bay is 2.5 miles away, or visit the shingle shoreline at Gurnard, 4 miles from home. The local pub is a 0.6-mile stroll, where those with canine companions are welcome to visit. Home to the world's oldest and biggest sailing regatta, Cowes (4.5 miles) is the number one destination for sailors during the summer months. For those who prefer to keep their feet on land, the town boasts a rich history and culture to explore. Visit Osborne House (9 miles), Queen Victoria and Prince Albert’s summer palace by the sea. With beautiful garden terraces and opulent staterooms, it’s a fantastic day out for the whole family. Enjoy a paddle on the royal beach and have a picnic while watching the yachts and ferries sail past. Alternatively, head into Cowes to find yourself a traditional pub lunch with most establishments geared up to handle arrivals en masse!

Absolutely fantastic property. Well located, really well equipt, clean, tidy and plenty of space for everyone. Everyone in our party slept really well in the comfy beds. We had a great week here. Absolutely recommend this property if youre looking to explore the Isle of Wight.

Very comfortable cottage, particularly the beds. The location was excellent with some lovely walls from the front door. The owners were very welcoming and we had a lovely time and will return.

A beautifully situated and comfortable barn conversion. So quiet & peaceful. Winston & Sarah welcoming and attentive. We particularly appreciated the welcome pack, lovely cake & beautiful flowers, and the apple harvest!

The cottage was spacious and really well equipped with all you need in the kitchen. The gardens had lovely views and nice outdoor furniture to sit and relax. There was ample parking and the bedrooms were was comfortable. Wonderful location to get to all the attractions on the island. We loved it

The cottage was lovely, really clean and well equipped. Nice to have on suite bathrooms with great comfy beds. We hired bikes from wight hire which was brilliant. The cottage is quite remote so you have to drive/ cycle. Having a meal out and a drink meant a fairly expensive taxi ride home. The accommodation has everything you could want, and we loved the location; we enjoyed watching the red squirrels. The accommodation is set-up for 8 guests & there is plenty of room for everyone, you do not feel squashed. We love visiting the Isle of Wight and would happily return and stay in this accommodation again. Perfect!

This is a special place! Beds were super comfy, even the singles which is very unusual in our experience. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and comfortable. We loved the location, peaceful and private, and especially enjoyed having woodland so close and access to the lovely fields around the barn. We would definitely come again.

This is a great place to stay but beware the ground floor bedrooms have steps down one and up the second one. But we had a peaceful time there the log burner was a warm help on the colder nights and Winston and Sarah were very helpful advising us of the best places to see. I saw a Red Squirrel for the first time ever just outside the Buzzards barn Read moreas he ran past the door and up his tree. The beds are really comfy and the welcome pack was large. Perfect for our cycling weekend on the Isle of Wight Buzzard Barn had everything we needed Owners Sarah and Winston were great providing lock-up bike storage and advice on where to cycle. It was a really wonderful place to stay and had everything you needed to have a comfortable stay. The hamper on arrival was a really nice touch.
