A large, split-level garden is a wonderful space, with outdoor seating and a hot tub so you can enjoy sunny days during your stay.

You enter this period property after ascending a flight of external steps. Once inside, you’ll find that the hallway is great for the storage of any muddy outerwear, but is also home to a fridge and freezer which can be useful when catering for a crowd. When you go through to the property’s kitchen, you’ll find everything you need to rustle up delicious meals, while the lounge is great for relaxing thanks to its many windows flooding it with light. There are even convenient patio doors which lead to the garden. For colder days, the wood burner provides plenty of warmth, while the dining table by the windows is where you can gather for mass feasts. The ground floor is completed with a handy, separate WC. Upstairs, you’ll find the first bedroom with yet more huge windows to make the most of the views. It has a super-king-size bed, plus an en-suite shower room. Another bedroom is on this floor with a king-size bed and an en-suite shower room too. Up to the next floor, you’ll find two bedrooms, which both have zip-and-link super-king-size beds. These can be made into twins should you need them. While one of these rooms has an en-suite, there’s also a family bathroom on this floor. The property’s garden is on two levels. The first has a BBQ and seating for al fresco dinners, while on the lower level, you’ll find a hot tub under cover which is out of sight yet benefits from fantastic views.

Comfortable, clean, well equipped cottage with lovely views. Steep steps but not a problem for us, the owners have thoughtfully put stair gates on each landing. Beautiful home in a lovely location. We all really enjoyed the property, the garden, the hot tub and the surrounding amazing countryside. Cromford and the canal, high peaks trail, Chatsworth and Matlock itself to Pic Tor were all favourites.

The house is beautiful. Luxuriously furnished, with nothing missing and extremely comfortable beds! The outdoor spaces are great, and you can enjoy a lovely evening in the hot tub, lit by the lamppost in the garden! If youre not used to an induction hob it can be a bit tricky, but otherwise everything was great!
