Escape to the countryside with your favourite people in this enchanting holiday home on the England/Wales border. The property sleeps eight guests across four bedrooms, and is ideal for family gatherings and getaways with friends. You’ll be surrounded by open countryside in the peaceful hamlet of Rhiwlas, allowing you to switch off and recharge, yet you’ll also be within 10 miles of the bustling towns of Oswestry and Chirk. After a day of exploring, come together for memorable mealtimes on the patio, toast marshmallows around the fire pit, and sip a glass of bubbly in the hot tub.

The stunning retreat has a mix of contemporary and traditional design, and special touches throughout, such as underfloor heating, to make your stay as comfortable as possible. At the heart of the home is a spectacular open-plan kitchen/diner, with an impressive glass atrium and bi-fold doors opening onto a patio, allowing you to embrace indoor/outdoor living. Dine together around the dining table, perch at the breakfast bar as the dinner cooks, or relax on comfortable seating and admire the far-reaching views. Alternatively, retire to the cosy snug for a movie night in the glow of the wood burner or challenge your fellow guests to a game of table tennis in the games room. A handy utility/boot room completes the ground floor. Upstairs, there’s one king, one double and two zip-and-link super-king rooms to choose from. The bedrooms all have en-suite facilities, and one of the super-king bedrooms boasts a magnificent dressing room and private conservatory, as well as direct access to the garden. Outside, a sociable garden awaits. The paved patio has feature lighting to set the mood, as well as a wood-fired hot tub, BBQ, and outdoor furniture for al fresco dining surrounded by countryside. Children will enjoy playing ball games on the lawn and the garden is fully enclosed for your four-legged guests. You are also welcome to take a stroll through the owner’s 9 acres of grounds and ancient woodlands. There is private parking at the property for up to four cars.

The house was beautiful decorated and extremely welcoming and we didnt want for any utensil in the kitchen. There was enough of everything. We had a family weekend away and we had enough room to not feel that we were on top of each other. The games room is a lovely addition to the house and we certainly all got very competitive with both the table Read moretennis and the table football. We also enjoyed using the hot tub. Hide
