Discover this luxurious three-storey house in North Yorkshire, the perfect place to host families and friends for a special celebration while surrounded by the breathtaking Yorkshire countryside.

Enjoy long sought-after time together when staying in this stunning seven-bedroom property, a wonderful place for multiple families or groups of friends to reconvene. Immaculately decorated from the ground floor and up, this period property has been expertly renovated to provide a comfortable pad for a relaxing getaway. Despite sleeping 15 guests, each uniquely decorated bedroom offers its residents a refuge of peace and solitude. Luxury touches including vintage roll-top baths in some bedrooms provide the perfect spot for some me time, whilst a generous dining room, sumptuous lounge and all-important patio space ensures there's also plenty of room for all to hang out together.

Step inside to find a stunning holiday home that's been updated with plenty of original features maintained. Sprawling bay windows, authentic wooden beams and stone flagged flooring are just some of the elements which add to the characterful nature of this accommodation. Nothing brings a family together like sitting down to a hearty meal, and the generous family kitchen and adjacent dining room ensure that this is a welcome event at the end of every day. The family chef will adore making full use of the Range oven and host of appliances, whilst the handy addition of two dishwashers will take the strain off of the after-dinner tidy. There are plenty of options for relaxing after dinner. Step into the lounge and sink into a cushy sofa, warming yourself in front of the open fire and enjoying a blockbuster on the Smart TV. We also recommend spending some time in the sauna, the perfect antidote after long walks in the Yorkshire Dales. When it's time for bed you'll be pleased to discover seven bedrooms, many of which boast spectacular views of Middleham Castle. Whether you've claimed the super-king-size with roll-top bath, the versatile family bedroom or the double bedroom that's tucked away atop a spiral staircase, you'll find each room to be equally comfortable and inviting.

Middleham, in Wensleydale, is widely credited with being one of Yorkshire’s loveliest towns. Famous for its castle, which was once home to Richard II, it is also known for its racehorse training and you will see horses being led through the village up to the gallops every day. Wander the town to discover a great collection of pubs, cafes, restaurants and shops.

Just 2.5 miles out of the village is the fascinating Forbidden Corner. Regularly voted the best family attraction in Yorkshire, this is hugely popular because of its exciting labyrinth of tunnels and chambers. In the opposite direction, you’ll find the charming market town of Leyburn, 2 miles away, with its traditional shops, pubs and cafes around a handsome town square. As well as a busy market every Friday, the town is also home to the biggest auction centre outside of London. The nearby historic town of Richmond, 11 miles from the house, is another great option for a day out with its scenic setting along the River Swale.

There is a wealth of stunning natural sights and beauty spots all within close range, including Aysgarth Falls and Bolton Castle, both under 9 miles away. If walking is your passion, then the surrounding Yorkshire Dales are something of a walker’s paradise, with plenty of options for cycling too and a variety of excellent gastropubs for well-earned pit stops along the way. A drive further into the Yorkshire Dales reveals an abundance of chocolate-box villages to visit. Head to Kettlewell, 15 miles from Middleham, or Grassington, 21 miles away, to browse in independent shops and high-quality eateries.

Harmby House is a well maintained, attractive and comfortable house for a large family or friends group. The furnishings and bedding are good quality and the house was very clean. The dining table is a good size and there is plenty of cutlery and crockery. The location is good for many different walks straight from the door.

Harmby House is ideal for a family and/or friends get together or celebration. It is very clean and comfortable and full of character. Middleham is a lovely setting - a quirky Georgian village with good pubs and useful shop. Seeing racehorses going to exercise is a special sight.
