Consisting of two stylish cottages and boasting a natural harbour, this stylish abode is a delight for large groups who can’t resist the thrill of the water in a peaceful location.

Stroll less than 50m down to the water’s edge from this unique holiday retreat, 3.5 miles from Aberdyfi in North Wales. Close to the shores of the River Dyfi Estuary, the holiday home accommodates up to 14 guests and five of their four-legged friends, and is, in fact, two welcoming properties together that between them have seven bedrooms. Idyllic for family members or friends seeking their own special corner of paradise, it offers everything you could possibly want from your Welsh break, both inside and out. Enjoy the relaxed garden area, which offers plenty of space for children to play and adults to relax as the BBQ sizzles or make the most of your proximity to the water by paddling, swimming, fishing or launching your own canoes and kayaks.

Enter the more spacious of the two properties and find yourselves in a lounge/kitchen/diner complete, where you can relax in front of a glowing wood burner, watch TV or a DVD and prepare delicious meals for your group to sit down to together. Discover you also have a double bedroom, with four-poster bed, a twin and a bunk room at this level, as well as two family shower rooms and two separate WCs. Climb the stairs to find two more double bedrooms. Wander into the smaller, inviting separate retreat through its conservatory and find yourselves in a welcoming lounge/kitchen/diner. Stoke up the wood burner in here, find a different movie to watch on the TV or rustle up something for lunch in the kitchen. Discover a twin room, with its own shower room, downstairs in this cottage and a double bedroom upstairs. A utility room, with washing machine and dryer, can be found outside. Play games of hide and seek out in the grounds, supervise the youngsters in the sandpit and keep your eyes out for wildlife in the woodland around the edge of the natural garden. Discuss launching your own boat out on the water with the owner and sit down at the natural harbour, with your toes in the cool water, soaking up the stunning scenery.

Organise your party and head into Aberdyfi for the afternoon to lounge on the sandy beach and swim in the waves of beautiful Cardigan Bay. Dine out here too and find lots of shops selling tasty, local produce. Make your way 7 miles into the market town of Machynlleth. Find even more outlets to wander around here, including the colourful market on Wednesdays. While away a few hours in the Museum of Modern Art or visit the Centre for Alternative Technology, 3 miles north of the town. Head 3 miles south of Machynlleth to spend time at the fascinating Falconry Experience Wales.

We had a great family holiday at Smugglers Cove. The accommodation was clean, comfortable , spacious and very well equipped . The self contained annexe was great for our young teenagers to get away from us and hang out together while still joining us for meals. Would highly recommend . Liz

Really enjoyed the stay here was great to be able to have so many family member and our pets with us to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary, definitely would stay here again, so much room and didnt feel like we were cramped, love the quarry cottage, nice and cozy. Didnt get to use the fires though maybe next time.

We would strongly recommend staying in this accommodation. There were 12 of us staying here from 13 to 74 years old. We loved the location for paddle boarding and chilled out evenings. The accommodation is lovely, clean and had all the facilities we needed. I recommend going to Corris Craft centre where you can also see the aircraft on the Mach LooRead morep. Hide

Absolutely beautiful, we came to celebrate my mums 60th birthday and we all had an amazing time, room for all of us. The site staff were lovely and helpful as well. the views were beautiful and a short trip into Aberdyfi where we found a gorgeous beach, nice little shops and places to eat.10/10 holiday highly recommend thankyou very much xxx

Lovely accommodation for our group of 7 adults and 7 children. Wonderful location,the children were very happy to play on the beach. The weather was perfect so we didn't travel very far. Happy children= Happy adults.

Smugglers Cove was a wonderful cottage to stay in. We stayed with a group of friends and it was the perfect location to spend a long weekend (sadly we didn't have longer!). Our children had the best time and want to go back. Brilliant enclosed place nice that there is two buildings and plenty of space for the dogs to have a run around loads of inside space and the owners are very accommodating highly recommended if a large group as we had 5 dog 3 kids under 3 and 10 adults and there was no issues.

Brilliant holiday down Aberdovey. Lovely place to stay, rooms were spacious and warm, perfect place to take the dogs with the secure garden and the estuary on your doorstep. Beach is a 5 min drive away which is perfect to walk along with the best Ice cream shop on the front. Loved the extra blankets in the basket in the lounge.
