Families on holiday together or friends enjoying a Welsh break as a group will relish a stay at this splendid, coastal holiday home in Aberdyfi, North Wales. Sleeping eight guests, and also welcoming two delighted dogs, the impressive, four-storey abode sits right opposite the picturesque village’s beautiful beach. This golden stretch of sand reaches for three miles from the mouth of the estuary up in the direction of Tywyn, which like Aberdyfi looks out over Cardigan Bay. Also near interesting shops selling local produce and an array of eateries, the four-bedroom house is opposite the yacht club and about 900m from the golf course. From here also head into Snowdonia National Park to go walking and climbing or to spend time at a spectrum of family attractions.

Open the front of the grand townhouse, slip off your beach sandals in the hall and wander on through to the bright kitchen/diner. Put the kettle on for a cup of tea to have with your freshly bought Welsh cakes then sit at the table by the window to enjoy them. Find all the equipment in here you need to help you prepare tasty feasts for your family or friends later as well. The washing machine and tumble dryer will be useful for your beach and walking gear and the dishwasher will save anyone from having to roll up their sleeves. Climb the stairs up to the family shower room and separate WC and then head on a little further up to the lounge. Settle in here after your busy days out to take in the views or perhaps watch TV or a DVD, or to listen to music through the Bluetooth speaker. Find a twin bedroom on this floor too. A double bedroom and a family bathroom, both with music speakers, are on the level above, while a double bedroom, with a TV, and a twin, are up on the third floor. Treat the beach or green opposite as your garden and stroll over to either whenever you choose. Guests will be given a permit to park in Aberdyfi’s car parks, the closest one is right by the beach.

Great location near to beach, shops and pubs with stunning views. The property was comfortable although we could have done with more storage space in the twin bedded rooms. Plenty of crockery and cutlery etc provided. A few plastic plates and cups would have been a good addition. Swn Y Don is in a great location and suited our group of 8 adults. Aberdyfi is lovely. Kitchen is well equipped, and the showers are fine. Beds are on the soft side but comfortable with spare blankets provided. The two double rooms are spacious. The twin rooms are quite small but the beds are full size. This house is a great place to stay, very close to the beach and play area and all amenities nearby, it has a great layout and very comfortable, also having the added bonus of 2 car parking passes which is great when there are 2 families. Will definitely be looking to come back next year.

A great house in the centre of the action in Aberdovey. The best thing is you get bedrooms for 8 for a very reasonable price. Everything you could want in terms of equipment, and where maybe something wasn't there a text to the agent produced instant results.
