Venture out from here on scenic walks through woodland and countryside. Plan days out to the beautiful beaches of Saunton Sands, 9 miles away, and Westward Ho!, 10.5 miles away. Find a plethora of other nearby beauty spots in the area, as well as family attractions within easy reach.

 

Stroll into this inviting barn conversion, which is filled with natural light and has under-floor heating, to find yourselves immediately feeling at home. Wander into the well-equipped, country kitchen, with its marble-topped island, to prepare hearty meals for your party with the delicious ingredients you have found in local shops and market stalls. Create mouth-watering dishes then serve them up next door in the dining room. Also at this level, are a twin bedroom and a king-size room, each with an en-suite shower room and a Smart TV. There is also a WC. Take a half flight of steps down to discover the lounge, where your party can gather together in the evenings in front of a good movie on the Smart TV with Netflix and a DVD player. Play games in here too and on warm days pull open the doors on to your outside space. Spend your mornings or afternoons pottering in Barnstaple, with its many shops, cafes and restaurants. Appledore, 11 miles away, is also a pleasant place to while away a couple of hours. Head to the beaches at Saunton Sands or Westward Ho! to go swimming or surfing or to organise outdoor games with your group. Woolacombe, 14.5 miles away, is also very scenic. Take the children to the Big Sheep amusement farm park, 10.5 miles from the barn; they will also enjoy the Milky Way Theme Park, a little further along the coast, 18 miles away. Keen walkers might enjoy undertaking a section of the South West Coast Path from anywhere along this picturesque coastline.

A great place to spend Christmas! The kitchen was well-equipped for entertaining. Living room area catered well for a large group. Tennis court was usable. Plenty of off-street parking. Bedrooms a good size . Location quiet, yet not far from Barnstaple. Two of the rooms have excellent showers.

The house had everything we required, space, comfort, beautiful furnishings, well equipped kitchen as we were cooking for 12 adults, all our friends had a fantastic time .

Excellent property for extended family gatherings. Car required to get to shops, only 5-10 mins away. There are a few slate steps from the kitchen to the sitting room , so may not be ideal for people who have mobility issues or small children, although we had an 18month in the party as long as she was watched she was fine. The cottage was perfect for all the family, the accommodations were clean and comfortable and the location quiet with good views. The tennis court provided a safe place for the children to play. Overall it was a great place for a family get together to celebrate my birthday.

Lovely property we were a party of six couples and great to each have our own bathrooms. Plenty of equipment in the kitchen. A very well equipped and comfortable house. We were a multi-generational family and the house suited everyone. Great that each bedroom had a bathroom and there was plenty of space for us all. Good location for exploring north Devon.

We were celebrating my 70th birthday. My son's and their familes came down Friday and Saturday, then when they left my sister's and friends joined us. The weather was good and we couldn't fault the property for all ages. Cake and wine left for us was much appreciated. Would highly recommend. Thank you.

Very nice well equipped house with plenty of space for 12. Comfortable en-suite bedrooms, large fitted kitchen dining room and living room. Useful games room and outside space. Peaceful village location Ideal for exploring the north Devon coast. Our group have been holidaying together for over 20 years. This house is in the top 3 we have stayed in.

We had an amazing holiday in this fabulous house which catered so well for us all. The house is like a home from home. Stunning views and a great location. The tennis court was very popular and all played from the youngest to the oldest. We highly recommend this property for people who want to get away from it all!

Almost Perfect! If you have a large group and happy with a place off the beaten track then this is a place for you. Loads of space and extremely well kitted out, the 7 of us could socialize and hide away equally easily! Lots of little extras such as tennis court, table tennis as well as a great kitchen gave us real flexibility over our two week staRead morey. If you're not British, watch out for the smaller sized beds common in the UK (King sized in Aus is a fair bit bigger!) , otherwise a perfect home! Hide
